No clue if it was a 2020 release or not but the H2+ is pretty much the best SBC…it’s a performance beast unrivaled by almost any other SBC, it can run any OS in existence and even more than one if you wanted, and it’s able to have 32GB of RAM. If you configured it with the same amount of RAM as a RPI 4 it’d be around twice the price, but the performance uptick more than justifies it in my opinion.

  8. Zero Walker on December 27, 2021 at 2:16 pm

I just wish they some a board as small as a pi 4 and is cheap and allow me to install WIn 95 or 98 so I can build my ultimate small retro PC with USB diskette or CD support so I can run proper old school dos early win games with out the need of dos box. I mean dos box is nice and all but the Retro pi versions is not as stable/supported as the regular PC versions of dos box.

I’m new to single boards, but I’m really happy I stumbled across the RPi 4 8 GB. I’m using it to build an NAS back up.

Will you be covering the Banana Pi M5 at some point? It’s very similar to the odroid c4 (same cpu and gpu) but with 16gb of eMMC flash memory on the board, and minus the micro usb port.

  21. qasim jebran on December 27, 2021 at 2:32 pm

Here is a weird thought why dont they make like flagship snapdragon and mediatek based single boards?

  22. Sorry I'm Late on December 27, 2021 at 2:32 pm

Pi4B still is best option !

  23. Cloud VII on December 27, 2021 at 2:34 pm

For price and performance would be Odroid N2+ – first place and second place Raspberry Pi 4.

God protect us from the monster standing behind me.

Aren’t the drivers in the Linux kernel for most of these ARMv8 devices?
I’d want to be able to run anything compiled for ARM.
When it doesn’t run Arch, it doesn’t say BTW.

  34. Project: Awesome on December 27, 2021 at 2:46 pm

Of the things he reviewed, my favorites are the two Raspberry Pi products.

  35. M L on December 27, 2021 at 2:47 pm

For price, the Pi is still champ. Many SBC’s are getting expensive and I consider those to no longer qualify. SBC’s should be small, useful, and CHEAP.

  36. Noah Neutral on December 27, 2021 at 2:47 pm

I have a 2g Jetson Nano and I absolutely love it. It preformed a lot better than I thought it would.

I was wondering if there is a x86 soc that beats a snapdragon 865, I know 888 is coming out but I’ve been wanting to make a tablet that is more powerfull than the snapdragon, for gaming, preferably x86, I know that there wont be any kit to do such a thing and it’s going to be bulky when I finaly finish it, I’ve been wondering about the ryzen powered sbc like the udoo or the other new waves of ryzen sbc hitting the market..
