Best Laptops for College Students 2020 || Engineering version || Affordable

Hi friends!
Looking for a laptop for college can be very overwhelming as there are so many options in the market, but not all options are the best for engineering students. In this video, I did the research for you and came up for a few options that I personally believe to be the best options. When shopping for engineering laptops, it’s important to keep in mind the compatibility of the laptop with engineering software like Matlab and Solidworks. The main options are from Lenovo, Dell and Samsung.

I hope you find this video informative!

hi! do you think 8gb ram is good enough for engineering? or do we need 12-16gb? love ur vids!

  8. JILCHA on December 15, 2021 at 1:23 pm

I’m currently studying engineering and I’d recommend a laptop with a graphics card, at least for some projects i have to do your programs won’t open or it’ll be crashing constantly, also 8gb is the minimum and pray for the pc not to crash

Thank you for the video, it was super informative!! I have a question, I’m starting college next week as an Aerospace Major and I need a laptop. Do you think the Lenovo Yoga C940 is too powerful? would the C740 be sufficient to last me all of college with powerful 3d programs?

Hi my daughter wants MacBook Pro M1 16GB 1TB and she’s also taking aerospace engineering, so MacBook Pro M1 won’t help her I mean she can’t use it for her college

I’m an upcoming senior at PSU concentrating in aeronautical engineering. I struggled to find an internship through sophomore and junior year. Do you have any recommendations of what I should do to get experience and hopefully get a job right out of college?

shouldn’t a laptop for SolidWorks have a dedicates graphics card?

  25. Valeria Valdez on December 15, 2021 at 1:55 pm

I’m really debating between the surface laptop 3 or the last Samsung one you’ve showed. I’m a full time dual enrollment student so after getting accepted to the program I thought it was time to look into a laptop. I could use your help to decide seeing as how I want to pursue a similar career. Love the channel by the way!!

These sound like great options. I would suggest if you have any extra money to spend, put it towards RAM before going cosmetic or whatever else.
