Thanks for this video. Why you decided to go with the old Evolve 40 over the new Evolve2 40?
Also, think you forgot to test the 8225 in the mic noise cancellation test. The 8225 has the Acoustic Fence feature, while the 5220 does not. So mic quality is not (or should not be) the same quality. Nevertheless, still useful vid. Thanks!
It’s personal preference, of course, but I prefer a flat eq for voice, not headphones with ‘good bass’. For example, my current set-up involves an old pair of studio monitor headphones and the mic in my MacBook (not ideal, I know, hoping to soon upgrade to usb mic – I’m watching this video as research into quality headsets as an alternative solution). When listening to a colleague’s presentation, and not expecting to contribute, I listen through studio monitor speakers, again with a flat eq. Point being, these solution are easy on the ear, flattening out droning bass hum or random voice squeaks! Thanks for the insight 👍
Could you please suggest an In-Ear type , Wired/Wireless , noise cancelling for ‘Laptop+teams’ conference calls. I aready own a platronics wire headset that works great but problem is, I take calls for 6-7 hours and its unconfortable. Wearas in-ear can be worn for longer hours without problem. I have already tried Jabra, platronics, Airpods and my normal ear buds but they all give shitty voice quality and does not work well with ‘Laptop+ teams’. Is there any in-ear replacement for my platronics?
Good evening. I hope you can help. I am need to find a headset dual speakers that I can hear my voice through the speakers as I can hear the person speaking as well. I have this MPOW and when I speak I can’t hear it through the ears only outside I hate it. If you please recommend some brands I would appreciate it. Thank you Nio
Can you please do a video on the better options for under $75. I am a contract worker, so there is no reimbursement program I qualify for at most companies
If you tried, you could probably have found a room with more echo for your intro. ….but I doubt it. Amateurish in the extreme. Couldn’t you have at least thrown a few pillows off camera to absorb the excessive standing wave? You also seem to know zero about microphone placement. First you set the microphone booms inconsistently, sometimes under your month, but other times directly in front of your mouth, thereby maximizing the annoying plosives, which overdrove the microphones.
If you are clueless, "headset advisor" don’t make advice videos.
Hey, I need help with a headset recommendation. I just can not figure out the best for me.
I need something with ANC
Over the ear
With a boom mic with unidirectional or noice cancelling as well
Wireless Bluetooth
Under 300$
Is there anything that meets all of that?
Are any of them compatible with Mac air?
I’m planning to buy steel series arctis 1. Is it good for work from home use? I’m taking calls
You did not describe the type of 3.5mm input cable? Mic/Phone, Mic only, etcZ?
how come your noise cancellation tests are so much different than other ones? https://youtu.be/r2A3rLXXs2c?t=315

Why are the earcups so tiny on 4 of these? Don’t the on-ear designs (vs. over-ear designs) cause a lot of discomfort?
Are there decent over-ear usb-c wired office headset with ANC? Why they are so hard to find?
How would you rate a Jabra evolve 20 or 30 vs a blackwire 5220 for instance please?
Actually, when working from home you might want to have "transparent" headset that lets you hear when a kid or a pet requires your attention, or maybe someone is at your door – you don’t want to miss a postman bringing you some important documents to sign. At the same time, you don’t want to transmit those noises through your microphone.
I wanted also to see Sennheiser SC 160 included – seems a great alternative to Jabra 40 and Plantronics/Poly C5220 but not sure about comfort – which are the best ones to wear all day long and still hear what’s going on around you.
Can you advise which is a good wired & wireless headset to use for work from home that would be available in India? I am currently using the Plantronics C3220 wired headsets
I need a good one with a mute button let’s be honest customers are sometimes extra and a *sigh* might slip out sometimes lol I need to block those moments
Is there an update video of this?
How do you possibly have enough content to warrant a channel dedicated to headsets?
May I know if there is a Headset with a physical mic (microphone) which can connect via both bluetooth (that is wireless) and AUX or USB cable (that is wired).
The mics didn’t sound good in the test
Would you say that all these are better than the Logi Zone 750 .. what exactly is the downside of the zone 750
The connection is the most important aspect of all. It doesn’t matter how great the product is if it cannot be connected. I wish you had mentioned that at the beginning. I am still confused about which of these headsets have a 3.5mm jack and which don’t. I am not interested in the ones that don’t.

you know this guy knows his stuff, when the first thing you hear is his voice is peeking so much that my crappy speakers are distorting. try to put a compressor or limiter on youre video mait. and sett the output to at least -0.2 db. but i wach the hole video and ther whas some good info so thanks
What is the best for noise cancelling microphone without using any software tech? Can you suggest two? One if budget not an issue and another with price considered. Thanks!
How about epos pc 5?
Get a 5220 + a soundblaster play4 to compensate for the sound fence mode that is missing vs 8225 perhaps
How do I make it work with my cellphone
Go HA Team! Dustin told me this was his favorite video so far!
I’m sorry, but earcups that only rotate 90 degrees in the outward direction isn’t a minor issue. The human ear doesn’t project at a 90 degree angle, it is actually slightly forward facing, meaning 90 degree rotating earpieces put excess stress on the rear portion of the ear. Had the jabras been able to rotate farther (say 100 degrees), the padding may have been sufficiently comfortable since the pressure would be more evenly distributed across the width of your ear.
No mic test for the 8225?
Fantastic review, thanks!
However, Between the Blackwire 5220 and the new Jabra Evolve2 30. Which one would you say has better mic performance?
Is there a headset –I– can buy that will drown out the noise from the other end of the call? I don’t like when I can hear the heavy breathing from customers.
Disturbed by your neighbor mowing the lawn? Do you live in a tent? But all kidding aside, can electronic noise cancelling ever perform as effectively as a simple boom mic?
I am looking for audio headsets with a volume control.
8225 is the only one here that could almost block noise from barking dogs because of the acoustic fence tech.
Do you recommend a great wired headset which doesn’t need external power?
I Didn’t know what headset would be best to replace the ones I use for working from home which are a pretty basic plantronics that were provided by the job but after listening to your video the D722U sounded the most clear when speaking and the noise cancellation seems great since I’m near the front door of the house and have small dogs, placed my order after this video! Can’t wait to get my D722U pair! *** forgot to mention I can’t use Bluetooth headsets so this was the perfect video! ***
