I just want use it for music and homework and making videos
will a i5 and 8gb work for music production?
Thank you Edward! π
So a daw loads VSTs faster if they are on a separate hard drive?
I have a 250 gig SSD to which I installed my C drive as well as my DAW, Reaper and all the VSTIs because I thought the loading will be faster since they all are on a single drive and it’s an SSD.
But would it load faster if I store the VSTIs on a separate harddrive like the D drive which is 1tb or an external harddrive?
Oh and would you say I3 CPU would be a little too weak for music production? My desktop has I5 CPU and 16 gig ram so it’s plenty good enough but my laptop only has an I3 processor.
Thank you.
Hello sir i am learning music production and i want to ask you can you please tell me what bass plugin or bass is he using β‘οΈ. https://youtu.be/Z7EJDxLMbw0
Which vivo is this
Ed..asus vivobook s14 good for music production?
Will a hp 15.6β intel core i3 8gb ram 256gb be good enough to run logic pro x?
What about HP chromebook for beginner?
What did you mean by you don’t prefer storing files on your computer? Do you use an external hard drive for music production?
Big UP South Africa
Budget ehh?
Which one of these is a good one for Fl studio
I’m looking for a laptop that number one, starts and operates after a year of use. I’ve had several including HP and Compaq that just plain died and I never used them for anything other than youtube, audacity and storing photos. I don’t want any fancy lights or cartoon like curves, I’m not going to be running any plugins or virtual instruments. I won’t be doing any heavy editing either. I want to hit record, record an instrument in one take and have it show up. If the take sucks I’ll redo the entire take so no punch ins. I want to be able to multi track instrument over instrument and I realize that depends on the DAW and I want to be able to add a phone video of one or two of the instruments. Maybe a split screen of drums and vocals. Something very simple. The video doesn’t have to be 1080p, 360 will do just fine. I just want the video to clearly identify who is playing the instrument. The sound should be good enough to play for someone to listen too. So with that said I’m hoping someone can recommend me a machine and possibly a DAW. I was using audacity for audio back in 2010 or so and I liked it but it went corrupt on me and I wasn’t able to fix it or re install it. I’ve no idea why. In the past I’ve had issues however with functions not working, This input wouldn’t show up or that output was grey and I couldn’t select it, and I’ve had issues where I arm a new track, get set to do a guitar over an earlier drum track and it records the drums to the second track. Go in to try and fix it but it just doesn’t do what I ask. Any ideas? The frustration factor is in the mid 80’s.
Asus Vivobook 14 and Acer aspire 5 whichβs better? And Iβm a high-scholar so which is better for me?
Just got the asus vivobook for my home studio! Canβt wait to record my second album on it !!

Is it necessary to get an 8GB memory and 1TB SSD for the Acer Aspire 5 A515-43-R19L?
Ram is the brain
Could I also use these for school work? I want to do music but I am also starting back to school. Would love to know!! Thanks for all the info
When you say music production you mean including singing right? I bought a MacBook Pro 2011 and couldnβt even download GarageBand so it was a waste of money!
How old is βto oldβ for the MacBook ?? Iβm seeing some for 400-700 Iβm interested in but there from 2011 -2013 would that be ok to use flstudio /photoshop on?
The problem with this information is there so many variants of these laptops out there
Fyi the asus is only i3 not i5
what about the hp with ryzen3 4gb ram 128gb ssd
How much does the Asus Vivobook cost?
Unless you have information on where to buy them model number this information is useless
What would be the best MacBook for fl studio
I’ve got the Audio-Technica 2035 with an Focusrite Solo, but my laptop is older and the only thing else I have is a computer tower. I could go buy a new one if necessary, but what about tablets? Is it possible?
thought I’d say that i bought an Acer aspire 5 Ryzen 5 BUT it’s not Full HD and the comparison with my Acer Nitro 5 is huge. The 1360×768 Aspire graphics suck big time so a FHD is the way to go. I’ve got 3 x 2TB SSDs on my Nitro 5 with 32 Gig RAM and it’s pretty cool but the colours suck but the Aspire 5 Ryzen 5 with 16 Gig RAM is I’D SAY just as swift IF NOT QUICKER than my Nitro 5 but the Aspire 5 had got 2 1TB SSDs on it. I got the Nitro brand new but the Aspire was 2nd hand and DEBATABLE so I’d say go for New if you can. INFO, On the Aspire 5 with an SSD 1TD my music software and DAWS open up like greased lightning but on the very same laptop with HDD the same software opens up like PAINT DRYING and it’s so frustrating go for SSD
I started doing guitar covers and my laptop crashed today while I was rendering the audio so Im looking forward to get a proper laptop for my videos and this video was really helpful π
Thank you so much for making all these helpful videos! Your voice and way of talking are nice to listen to, and your explanations are clear enough to where even I (a total beginner with very little knowledge of technology) can follow what you are saying! So thank you for that!
Clock speed is very important for music production. I wouldn’t go below 3GHz base clock personally.
Better to find a well built business laptop 2nd hand IMO.
Lame you dont say the prices
Hey ,everyone knows if ryzen 5 5600h is ok for music production.i heard something about compatibility problems with midi keyboards and plug ins
How did u connect ur microphone to the Lenovo ideapad ? I connect it to the laptop and it doesnβt detect it?
Great video! The acer aspire link isn’t the correct specs
Damn no $1 ones
An older gaming laptop from hp omen, asus or others can be more powerful than an older macbook
Is the ZenBook a good option?
I found a MacBook at the price of $270
lllll 2 Esdras 2: 31 -100 ;;;;;
Hello Edward. Thank you so much for your helpful video! Would you please tell me which laptop out of these five you suggest?
By the way, could you please make a video about how to edit sounds? (I mean the correct usage of items like echo, enhancer, etc.)
Thank youπΈ
This might sound crazy, but have you ever heard or saw someone use a tablet as the computer? For say on the go or when traveling?
first laptop is asus he wants you to fail
The ram, storage, and screen size are all things you can upgrade… Getting a 27in screen isn’t that difficult or expensive and most of these newer laptops will connect to smart tvs. The CPU well those are integrated into the motherboard. So unless you can de-solder and know which processing chip will match your mb then yeah your stuck with that… Kinda crazy ram was number 1 as it’s the easiest to update and most use external HD’s with storing their samples or recordings. So that’s just a matter of using a USB port… Odd
Great video Edward! What dou you think about the Lenovo Legion 5? Thank you!
Whatβs your favorite one ??
god damn iβm on a poormans budget not a rich mans budgetπ
i cannot get a daw for my hp nothing is compatiable! somebody help me pls, it keeps saying because of chrome
