  4. Ammar Shahid on August 10, 2021 at 9:36 pm

my friend and editor Hamza, played this video in the background while working on an 1080p edit. Pls ask him to pay attention next time

The budget is 8 thousand dollars.

  6. Switchy Box on August 10, 2021 at 9:40 pm

I wonder if this could do 4K editing and render. (A pre-built with upgrades)

    HP Pavilion 590 p0070
Core i7-8700 (non-K and voltage change from 65w to 85w for underload)
Gigabyte GTX 1050 Ti (With some adjustments in MSI Afterburner)
Samsung Evo (Both M.2 and SSD)
32GB of Team Force DDR4-2400 (should be 2666 but i guess the motherboard caps it out)

I do use PowerDirector 19 which lets you view things in 4K but my usual source materials are 1080p or lower

  7. Ivan Babenko on August 10, 2021 at 9:40 pm

Just made a rig with 2 3090’s… and want to start editing videos, but have no videos to edit lol

  8. David Rook on August 10, 2021 at 9:43 pm

LOL. The video editing build is cheaper than buying a good 4k camera. Before people start pointing out there are 4k cameras for less than $200.00. Well you get what you pay for and that doesn’t include the extra equipment like Tri pods, Gimbals, batteries and so on and if you are new to it, taking courses is a must on how to shoot videos and editing.

  12. HaLaL_ Toasst on August 10, 2021 at 9:48 pm

Wtf, I have a better computer than this one and it struggles to edit 1080p @60!!!! Given it might be my shit ram

  13. Sumon Rudra on August 10, 2021 at 9:49 pm

Is the Ryzen 5800H + +16GB RAM +RTX 1650 in a laptop enough for 4K video editing tasks?

  14. tellingyoustories on August 10, 2021 at 9:50 pm

I’m constantly referring to this video as I look at putting together/buying a 4k-editing capable PC. I would love to try building it myself, but finding it hard to find gpus, of course. So I’m looking at having a local PC builder in Nanaimo build one mostly based on this spec, or buy one from Canada Computers (with a similar spec to suggested in the video) and double up on the hard drives.

  15. Budgie Boy27 on August 10, 2021 at 9:50 pm

Me: oh so a budget pc for me that would be like £350 but it’s probably like £450.

    Linus: budget system $950.

    Bruh.

  18. Amit Chippa on August 10, 2021 at 9:55 pm

Any chance that you are creating a Budget Workstation focusing 3D modeling and Rendering?

  19. Dilfuza Vahidova on August 10, 2021 at 9:56 pm

Why I bought a laptop which can not do anything and it cost $950 for 1080p bad video editing even can not open adobe softwares sometimes, when I am working on chrome. I could do 4k video editing for $900 and it is very powerful. My advice is that when buying and making decisions: google it and buy or do things. For example I was planning to spend my money for apple $10k for video editing, but I can do all the thing for 10 times cheaper. PC is the best for no money and want to work professional, MAC is the best for A LOT OF MONEY (RICH)

  20. Kyle Gove on August 10, 2021 at 9:56 pm

Lol this is my pc to the T
    Besides the motherboard 😂

  21. Chuck on August 10, 2021 at 9:56 pm

  22. Snake75055 on August 10, 2021 at 9:57 pm

So can I edit 4k video on my pc with a 3080 then move the files and video to my old laptop with a old i7 and 860m and use it just to render so I won’t have down time on my main pc

    Brilliant

  25. João Mendonça on August 10, 2021 at 9:59 pm

What’s the best PC specs for programming and watch 4k movies (I don’t want to play games in this build) ?
Should I get an integrated graphics from intel since I’m not going to play games or do video editing?
Also, can you include a 32inch 4k hdr 60hz monitor with acceptable color accuracy, brightness and contrast for a good movie theater experience

  26. Ryan Lennox-Bradley on August 10, 2021 at 10:00 pm

The m1 Mac mini kind of flipped this on it’s head ngl especially in final cut and apple motion

  27. Monte Veskeii on August 10, 2021 at 10:00 pm

LTT pinning the apologist responses. Finally proof LTT is intentionally out of touch to normal consumers. You will own no GPU, no CPU, you will run ski free at 4fps and you will be happy.

  28. Phantom 41 on August 10, 2021 at 10:00 pm

I am a complete newbie and this would be my first build. You mention using 3600mhz RAM but looking at the Motherboard specs it only supports 3466 and 3733, what does this mean? Should I just stick with 3200?

  29. Cloud Saurus on August 10, 2021 at 10:01 pm

    Buy a Mac Mini M1.
    6k raw no problem.

  33. lonzo for mvp on August 10, 2021 at 10:10 pm

Miss these times when you could build a really good rig for less than $1000. Now $1000 is just a graphics card

  34. BroCro2 on August 10, 2021 at 10:11 pm

Linus: "Today we are on a budget-"
    Gamers: "Finally-"
    Linus:- "The budget is 10K$"
Gamers:- "Ah Sh$t, Here we go again"

  35. Hayden Johnson on August 10, 2021 at 10:11 pm

Who knew my gaming pc is also great for editing. I have a r5 3600 B550 and 2060. Oh and I also have a 512 gig of the ssd

  36. 이주연 on August 10, 2021 at 10:13 pm

    Linus: 6 cores 8 threads
    WTF?

  37. Brian Kaphengst on August 10, 2021 at 10:16 pm

To all the commenters saying that $1000 is not a budget PC, parts are getting more expensive and editing 4K video takes slightly more expensive parts. Get used to it. If you had the money to buy a 4K camera then you should have done the research(which is what this video is trying to give people) on what kind of PC you need to edit in that resolution. If you cant afford a PC like this then do more research into what you can get away with, with worse performance, for editing in 4K. This video is to show good performance without spending even more money. If they had left the RTX 2060 in the config it would have been even more. And yes $1000 is pretty low budget for 4K editing like some other(intelligent) commenters have pointed out.

  38. Hanoon .M on August 10, 2021 at 10:18 pm

So this build good enough for 3d renders??
