All the "HZD" bits I see on the internet just give me chills… I’ve listened through the entire 4-hour soundtrack already and I think I’ll definitely get it on PC if it actually will. Now also because I’m thinking of getting a monitor that supports HDR, as well as being a curved 21:9, which would totally do justice to worlds like in "HZD" and ‘Death Stranding’. – I REALLY hope Decima will port well…
(Oh, never mind… I just found out that the monitor I’m looking at doesn’t even do HDR properly. XD)
Hellblade was never mentioned, Shadows of the TombRaider,Gears of War 4 story mode has amazing looking HDR lighting and performance with close to native 4k on Xbox One X.

Totally related to what he said about RE:2, whenever the scene got too dark it looked kinda grey and washed out in HDR. Thought that was just a problem with my TV, but apparently I wasn’t the only one who noticed.
My 4K set is budget priced, so I just assumed that the display settings for my TV were basic. It didn’t come with a user’s manual. So I wasn’t blown away with how it displayed a HDR picture. Today I was messing around with the settings and stumbled upon the settings to tweak the image. Finally, I see what all the fuss is about.
I wish you had a comparison…..

3. Ratchet and Clank
Destiny 2 has amazing HDR on PC. Not sure how it looks on console but hopefully just as good. IMO Destiny 2’s HDR is the best implementation I have ever seen. The Dark areas are literally pitch black, and bright lights are blinding all within the same scene. Contrast is unreal.

I’m very late to this party but, Wipeout Omega Collection looks amazing in HDR.
I must be dim, but I just bought an XH9505, and I can’t see the difference between HDR and SDR, and in some cases (Spiderman, for one) SDR looks better.

Got a new phone recently and came back to watch this on HDR. It does look cool. I don’t know if I’m blown away exactly but the difference is definitely obvious. Then again, I’m not sure how well my phone’s screen compares to a high end TV.
My main question is how in the world did you get it to automatically tone map down to SDR? I’ve watched this on Youtube in both HDR and SDR and both look fantastic through Youtube… How did you upload an HDR video without destroying the SDR quality?! :O
So THIS is why I bought a £1000 phone.
HDR offer to cover 70% of colorimetric spectre of human visibility (1 billion colors) instead of 30% for SDR (65 millions colors), and i can see all newbies only focus and thinking than HDR is "light" effects and nits power…
HDR add more colors shade (a lot) and so add more realistics colors. A HDR scene have more presence than SDR.
Last but no least, forget HDR on LCD who is far from OLED and dont fall in samsung trap with QLED who is a old tech you using already (LCD).
