  10. bpalpha on September 8, 2021 at 11:37 pm

Monoprice sells one of the best affordable 5.1 speaker systems (around $200) for the whole set. You’ll need to add an a/v receiver.

  11. josaph cj7 on September 8, 2021 at 11:37 pm

I dont prefer wall mount speakers. I prefer to fix them on stand. They must form a circle.

  12. Jendru214 on September 8, 2021 at 11:37 pm

There is so much uneducated bullshit in this video…

Thumbnail says โ€œunder $500โ€… title says โ€œstarting at $500โ€. Go back to school. Thumbs down, no point in clicking play.

  23. SCD Observer on September 9, 2021 at 12:04 am

What is your view re very short throw 4K projectors?

  24. David Mander on September 9, 2021 at 12:04 am

Why waste money on brand new components when you could get so much better on the used market for not alot of money! Those soundbar setups are shite… ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž

  25. rizzo905 on September 9, 2021 at 12:05 am

Great video! Iโ€™m just curious, if Ethernet is transferring data at 1Gbps, how can it transfer the 4K 60hz image along with all the sound data to go with it when you need a high speed hdmi cable to do that which I believe start at 18Gbps? Am I missing something? If you or any viewers are able to answer that question that would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

  26. Jake Not From State Farm on September 9, 2021 at 12:06 am

That infared transmitter was pretty sweet. Iโ€™ve never seen anything like that. I e got a functional, but unfinished, theater room Iโ€™ve been working on for years. Itโ€™s painted, got equipment, just needs polishing up (shelves, hide the wires, hang the tv, etc). Good video and thanks for the tips.

  27. Max Jonak on September 9, 2021 at 12:07 am

    $125 – RX-A660
    $180 – 3x Polk T15 (5.25 in driver)
$40 – CSI Center Channel (dual 4.5 in drivers)
    $40 – PSW-505 (12 inch powered Polk sub)
    $20 – YST-SW012 (8 in powered Yamaha sub)
    $500 – Epson 2040 (1080p, 35000:1, 3D)
    $50 – screen

    $955 full HD 3D 35000:1 contrast 5.2.2 Dolby Atmos/DTS:X and up-mixing capable system

My point: Buy used from people who donโ€™t know the value of their components.

  28. Brooke on September 9, 2021 at 12:09 am

How did you handle the heat from the receiver in the closet? I would love to do this, but my receiver, htpc, and other components generate too much heat for a non ventilated closet.

  29. Soumya Rao on September 9, 2021 at 12:11 am

Very helpful video. Do you have specs for 5.2.1set up as well?

  30. Stephen Turner on September 9, 2021 at 12:12 am

Great video but does the v630 projector support HDCP?

  31. mario flores on September 9, 2021 at 12:14 am

Sold bunch on projectors on mercari
All you need is a 2500 or higher lumens to get a clear picture

  32. Brooke on September 9, 2021 at 12:17 am

I would love to see an episode on options for โ€œhiddenโ€ living room projector/screen setups that can work with an existing tv. Iโ€™ve been trying to come up with an elegant solution for movie nights, where the projector screen works in front of an existing wall mounted tv, and the projectorโ€™s wiring/mounting is fairly easy (I have concrete ceilings/in condo which makes things interesting). Or, an elegant short throw setup.

  33. Sylvester on September 9, 2021 at 12:18 am

    Great video!…very informative.

I have a Yamaha RX-V665 receiver that the HDMI output stopped working. Would I be able to wire in the OREI High Speed Switcher to save my receiver and still have surround sound?
