    One question about net limiter.
Should I block the connection of "system"?
It uses port 135 and in the internet some people say this port is unsafe or something like that. So what to do? xd

  3. Nicolò Salemi on August 26, 2021 at 10:27 pm

    can you link the
    wallpaper?

  4. Sorro on August 26, 2021 at 10:28 pm

I was looking for something to limit internet usage by applications since my router doesn’t allow QoS. The NetLimiter program was perfect for me.

    Good video, good tips!

These are the programs that I uninstall first when I see them on a Windows OS.

  7. Max Savage on August 26, 2021 at 10:29 pm

Folder Sizes . It is amazing. I have version 4, works like Windows should but doesn’t.

Side note: AMD Radeon Chill is a built-in driver feature for setting framerate limits on a per-game basis, and it’s handled by the graphics card’s hardware so it won’t introduce any extra input lag. If you have even a cheapo FreeSync monitor with only 48-75Hz range, you can virtually eliminate frame delays with Chill.

Ditto – paste manager. Works for text, images, files. Features a search bar and the option to have a ridiculously long history. Searching for stuff you pasted 2 months ago is a godlike convenience. (mostly for reposting things within seconds instead of having to dig around apps for minutes)

EarTrumpet basically separates audio. Let’s say one application is too loud, you can turn it down instead of having to turn down the system audio. It’s available on the Microsoft Store

Another application is WinDynamicDesktop which is REALLY cool. macOS has had time changing backgrounds since macOS Mojave. WinDynamicDesktop brings this to Windows! Just select the OS background you want to use and boom! It will change at certain times in the day.

  12. Beedgehog on August 26, 2021 at 10:41 pm

I would say My Files X Free (paid version is just to support the dev), but it doesn’t work for me for some reason. It’s available on the Microsoft Store

  24. tasty taste on August 26, 2021 at 10:51 pm

Well here is my question about terracopy:
Did someone tried to move the appdata folder? And did it works fine without problems through windows updates and so on?

  25. Alenn G'Kar on August 26, 2021 at 10:51 pm

    Windows Terminal 🙂

  26. Bloodhoven on August 26, 2021 at 10:54 pm

    7:00 Windows photos viewer

why don’t yousimply use IrfanView instead? o.O
It is far more potent and has a dark background mode since… well since forever, actually.

  32. Q20 on August 26, 2021 at 10:59 pm

Dude, I didn’t know you’re travelling around the world to install these programs to every Windows PCs.

  33. Ian James Lake on August 26, 2021 at 11:01 pm

I concur on netlimiter, fancyzones, notepad++, avidemux. DDU when needed. Anyway, here is my list of additional programs you might find useful,

Everything (first run takes time to build file list, subsequent runs take a very short time, for getting all file changes since last run) – Windows search on steroids.
Texify (I use alt+right click combo) – Allows ctrl-c copy of text that is not normally able to be selected.
Honeyview (very customisable to suit your requirements) – A simple photo viewer, similar to the old windows photo viewer.
KeepAliveHD (7 sec read) – Prevents a spinning HDD from parking it’s head.
Crystal Disk Info (resident, startup, alert sound) – Alert for if a hard drive generates an error.

Going to look into teracopy, sharex, and fences.

  34. NB on August 26, 2021 at 11:01 pm

Is there any free alternative for Stardock Fences?

  35. CpuLord on August 26, 2021 at 11:01 pm

    LinkShellExtension is really useful.

  36. Thomas Poppe on August 26, 2021 at 11:02 pm

    Total Commander

  37. Haise on August 26, 2021 at 11:06 pm

Little late on this but there is an application called Intelligent standby list cleaner (ISLC). This is made by WAGNARSTUDIO so made by the same persona who made DDU. Stutters happen in games like Battlefield for me and my friend and we figured out it was due to Memory going into the cache and remaining on standby. ISLC clears this regularly. Also it stops my much lower spec laptop from slowing down after prolonged use.

soundswitch toast: swap audio out and in via hotkeys

  40. Manly Syrup on August 26, 2021 at 11:08 pm

Why do you hate the new Photos app on Windows 10? It feels very short-sighted to hate on an app just because you are used to the classic one. The new one not only blends with the rest of the OS but gives me options to crop, retouch, and annotate which I use a lot (especially the latter). The classic one is just so ugly and barebones, it’s insane that you would go to such lengths to re-enable such an archaic application purely for nostalgic reasons.

Oh and I can zoom using the scroll wheel, which the classic app cannot do and will never be able to do because it will never be updated again because it’s old and useless.

The title is so clickbaity I had very low expectations but hey, that was pretty ok!

  42. WIZARDIRL on August 26, 2021 at 11:10 pm

Process lasso is a must have utility for me for gaming. Especially if you’re not running a highly tweaked version of Windows.

Does limiting bandwidth on netlimiter reduces bufferbloat?

  45. Just Some Guy on August 26, 2021 at 11:10 pm

5:49… "What U Hear", sorta creepy when I noticed it, but that’s exactly what I labeled my creative sb x-fi input… complete with the lazy spelling of "you" as "U" as well…

  46. Scootermagoo on August 26, 2021 at 11:13 pm

The sound settings just made my obs life much easier.. I was thinking about getting a laptop out for discord when recording..
