A shoutout to Iconoclasts released in 2018 by Jaokim Sandberg .

  2. binman1235 on March 10, 2021 at 11:13 pm

I always finished my rollercoasters in Rollercoaster Tycoon 2.. but I may have drowned a few people in the lake for moaning about my park.

  3. Ryan Stewart on March 10, 2021 at 11:19 pm

Thomas Happ: Axiom Verge is the answer due to the extra points awarded for doing his own (awesome) soundtrack.

  4. MK4000 on March 10, 2021 at 11:21 pm

Planet X2 or Planet X3 are good single dev games.

  5. Dnekar on March 10, 2021 at 11:22 pm

    Fave part 10:55.

  6. HowDoGame? on March 10, 2021 at 11:23 pm

Axiom Verge is one of my favourites, but I love Metroid style games so it would always be up there. I also love Stardew Valley a lot.

  7. CallOfDrewthulhu on March 10, 2021 at 11:23 pm

Akalabeth was definitely a watershed moment in single-developer gaming, though it is interesting that Lord British was already seeking outside help by the time he made Ultima despite it being so similar.

  8. Eala Dubh on March 10, 2021 at 11:25 pm

Papers Please over Return Of The Obra Dinn? NO.

  9. Joseph horowitz on March 10, 2021 at 11:27 pm

    Scott cawthon that

  10. Ryan G. on March 10, 2021 at 11:29 pm

Good games but they’re ususally too derivative.

  11. tom payne on March 10, 2021 at 11:29 pm

I did like how in early gaming they found a way to make technical limitations part of the game

  12. George Cauldron on March 10, 2021 at 11:30 pm

You guys are champs for including RCT and Papers Please.

  13. Fred L. on March 10, 2021 at 11:30 pm

The list is missing Vampires Dawn (Reign of Blood).

  14. Wil Rivera on March 10, 2021 at 11:31 pm

… I have braid and it is not one of my favourites …

  15. joelkort24 on March 10, 2021 at 11:31 pm

What about Rakuen? Laura Shigihara not only developed the game but also created an amazing story and one of the greatest soundtracks for a game I’ve ever heard. I think she also did some of the art with the help of two friends. Just an all around super talented person.

  16. JacksBat on March 10, 2021 at 11:33 pm

As someone who studies game design and is working on their own game I can confirm that is something that is very hard

  17. Dillon Haggett on March 10, 2021 at 11:35 pm

Apparently The Slater was made by one person and it’s graphics actually look decent. Just a shame it’s a very bad rip off of Hitman

  18. Jablonicky Gaming on March 10, 2021 at 11:38 pm

    No love for TETRIS?

  19. MrMekaMan on March 10, 2021 at 11:39 pm

Wasn’t FNAF only made by Scott Cawthon

  20. KäseLord09 on March 10, 2021 at 11:41 pm

Im not sure if i would put Undertale or Stardew Valley on number 1

  21. AjayESharma on March 10, 2021 at 11:41 pm

didn’t know paul joseph watson did gaming videos

  22. Frealish on March 10, 2021 at 11:42 pm

Why was Roller Coaster tycoon #1? There where tons of games that should have been on the list Cave Story, Axiom Verge, Touhou, Yumi Nikki, FNAF

  23. Dumb Genius on March 10, 2021 at 11:43 pm

Special shout out to all the MDickie games.

  24. Tiendat Phung on March 10, 2021 at 11:44 pm

    How about Tetris and Solitaire?

  25. Calvin Nigh on March 10, 2021 at 11:46 pm

Can I just say: I love You guys, and I think you’re exactly the video-game-list channel that I’ve been waiting for. Thanks for all the “Every ____ Game Ranked” videos. I love them. I love You.

  26. Ilie Iancu on March 10, 2021 at 11:46 pm

    Lisa

  27. Ken Okoye on March 10, 2021 at 11:48 pm

Playing Return of the Obra Dinn (another Lucas Pope solo joint) is my favorite gaming experience of my life. I thought it was way better than Papers, Please.

  28. aintbeenhome on March 10, 2021 at 11:49 pm

I honestly can’t comprehend how few views you guys get. Your content is so good

  29. Staatsfeind771 on March 10, 2021 at 11:50 pm

Any Phil Fish Haters here? 😀

  30. Jesse England on March 10, 2021 at 11:51 pm

As for the question "how could a game made by one person have a better story than most triple A games". Books are usually written by one person, having many people working on a story line usually isn’t beneficial. It can often be detrimental, making your story seem kinda ‘schizophrenic’ or all over the place. Plus the corporate greed sticking it’s fingers in the plot.

  31. Yesbenla on March 10, 2021 at 11:51 pm

I’m not sure what’s #1. As I haven’t seen the video yet but if stardew valley isn’t on here then I’ll cry

  32. zackleburg on March 10, 2021 at 11:51 pm

Erm are you shore you aren’t forgetting a certain stickmin

  33. Old Man Millennial on March 10, 2021 at 11:51 pm

Wasn’t Five Nights at Freddy’s programmed jus by Scott Cathown? I personally don’t care for the game, but given its success it’s quite a big omission from your list.

  34. Mark J on March 10, 2021 at 11:54 pm

I don’t play it anymore but Stardew Valley took weeks off my life. No regrets.

  35. Jagger's TV on March 10, 2021 at 11:54 pm

My favorite game made by one person is my summer car

  36. anonthony on March 10, 2021 at 11:56 pm

    Ghost of a Tale.

    Please.

  37. 3Frame on March 10, 2021 at 11:56 pm

    Solid list

  38. game over on March 10, 2021 at 11:57 pm

Love the way you renamed iconic characters without batting an eye XD

  39. Chris Mannion on March 10, 2021 at 11:58 pm

Yes! It had to be Chris Sawyer, personal preference would have been for Transport Tycoon but he really was a genius at squeezing features out of low level code.

  40. connorrod6 on March 10, 2021 at 11:59 pm

Master chief on the mount rush

  41. Jakob Bjerre Mikkelsen on March 11, 2021 at 12:01 am

  42. Rhys Whittington on March 11, 2021 at 12:01 am

how on earth is "Dust: an elysian tail" not on this list? i would argue thats its more impressive than most of this list…

  43. aipaloovik on March 11, 2021 at 12:02 am

Boffins! As an American I got that reference. From Top Gear. Years ago. I thought it was retired?
