As a recovering I.T. professional I agree that a MAC works better overall however it takes 8 laptops to run my business. I’d need a Home Equity loan to go with Apple
If you downloaded Big Sir can you take it back out or are you screwed? I’m still streaming but I had to go around certain things that are not working on the Controller. Hey Nick , I have a old school 2010 17 inch (bible) MacBook Pro with 8gb ram (dual core i7) running high Sierra with the current serato dj pro to my Rane setup and it works great.
You can use a I3 also

Great video as always. The only thing I suggest to add is something I’ve found very useful – a backlit keyboard. It makes it so much easier to see where you’re typing when you’re in a dark DJ booth.

SSD Storage also look into. HHD moving parts. Not good for bass speakers or around sound.

I use 2011 macbook pro runs good for djing never had a problem with it replaced battery hard drive and runs smooth dont need touchbar usb c or any of that a newer computer wont make you better at djing
