Legend of Dragoon had one of the best twist endings in an RPG ever. The only twist I can think of that out does it is the twist late into Baten Kaitos.

Every video that includes Legend of Dragoon always has something bad to say about it. Idk what it is. Everybody must have horrible taste or just can’t understand that Legend of Dragoon is an all around gem. Including the story. The story/characters/combat/music/environments are all equally amazing. Sick of it always being introduced with something being wrong with the story, I think every ps1 elitist feels like they have to say that

If Legend of Dragoon is not the best rpg on ps1, what would you say is? I own them all personally and can say from experience that Legend of Dragoon is on it’s own level. And I mean, I own ALL ps1 rpgs. From Persona to Tales of Destiny, Lunar, etc.

Legend of Legaia is another PS1 gem that is often overlooked. It uses a similar battle system to Xenogears and the story is great too. I’d heavily recommend it to anybody that is a fan of PS1 RPG gaming.

I had "The Legend of Dragoon" back then. It was an amazing game. Has nothing to envy from the "Popular-ones" of the PS1 rpg´s list.

I don’t think it’s a hidden gem, but it’s not as appreciated as other JRPGS, Xenogears is my all time favorite RPG.
The story, combat and atmosphere is amazing.

Another thing I dug about "Dragoon" was a plot thread. I read it as "does a species have the ‘right’ to survive and evolve?" It’s a more metaphysical query that Darwin’s theory. Just sayin’
