I could never understand the fuss about FF7. Ok it has a good story, deep characters, great antagonist but comparing to other classic PSX JRPGs like Final Fantasy8-9 and Chrono Cross it’s no where near the quality of those games. It’s like anybody who makes a PSX top ten games list have to put the FF7 on no 1 like it’s some sort of law

I love video games too man, especially FPS games. The past couple years, my love for them has grown immensely. I always played them as a kid but I love them even more as an adult. Idk, they’re just a great escape from work and other stressful shit.
I’ve often wondered why the jewel cases for PS1 games were thicker in the UK than the US which just had normal CD cases

Any list that does not have FF7 on 1st place is untrue for me. Man just hearing the music made my blood run faster.
It really is a masterpiece and a huge gaming history moment. I have never been so encapsulated by a game and THE STORY and the THE CHARACTERS and the BATTLE SYSTEM, MATERIA . The games within games, spending hours upon hours chochobo racing, getting that Golden Choc at last. The atmosphere of the game is amazing, OH the music. I could go on for hours, literally, I feel ya man.This game changed my life too.❤

REALLY late to this but some of my favorite ps1 games were Spyro, Ape Escape, Bloody Roar 1 and 2, but most of all, Legend of Dragoon.
