Ubuntu Linux is easy and my favorite

  2. OnSide Live on June 25, 2021 at 1:29 am

I am a new Linux user I have used a lot of distros the best Linux distro which I liked ( out of the box expirience) Feren Os and Linux Mint. My laptop was unstable with Linux mint and Ubuntu ( wifi and other driver problem)
    Laptop specs- Amd Rhyzen 5 3550 H
    8 Gb Ram
AMD Vega 8 graphics with Nvidia GTX 1650
    Everything is good.
But the Linux can’t get fit in my laptop. Whichever Linux I tried to use it has some faults like Linux Mint – I can’t install it. It crashes on the welcome screen each and every time and in case of Ubuntu the wifi stopped working after 3 days And the Live patch crashes. Incase of Feren Os the laptop was unable to shut down properly each time I need to press the power button to force shut down. And incase of Zorin Os My WiFi didn’t work at all and also the screen rotates and can’t reverse back. I have very bad experience with Linux by the way. Though I have installed all Linux distro in a fresh way meaning totally removing and formatting windows. So I thought that is the lack of ability of my laptop, so I didn’t put pressure on him and revert back to Windows. (Though I don’t want 😞)

I think my best experience with Linux so far wasss… Zorin!
Though I gotta say, Garuda looks mighty interesting, might give it a shot.

There was a time when distro developers tried to make their Linux desktop look like Windows. Now is the time to make distros look like Mac. That’s not beautiful to me, it’s just daft.

I tried every Linux there is, maybe except the Garuda Linux. I tried Ubuntu, Lubuntu, Xubuntu, Kubuntu, Elementary, PopOs, Debian, different Puppy Linuxes, DebianDog, and I searched for both beautiful and snappy os there could be. I wanted to install it on a both good pc and on an old rusty netbook still lying around and wasting his potential.
And I found that in most cases the best performer was Q4OS,
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT to anyone wishing to end the distrohopping journeys.
Debian based, KDE desktop, easy switch to Xfce, Trinity or any other DE.
Deadly fast and snappy, and lightweight. And pretty as hell. Has option to look almost identical to windows, which is kinda fun, although not for me, but anyway it has everything needed, and installation is under 1gb which is astounding.

I tried all of them, but the f*cking animations are so bad on my oc😑😑 none of them are as smooth as Windows.

  8. সাদ মোহাম্মদ on June 25, 2021 at 1:34 am

    Manjaro Linux is my favorite

  9. Robin Gather on June 25, 2021 at 1:36 am

I didn’t even realize you were Indian until I looked in the comments. Your English pronunciation is amazing.

    Lmao no arch 😂

  11. David Granger on June 25, 2021 at 1:38 am

I came from Windows and really like Elementary, you really shouldn’t choose the Distro on what you were but on what works for you now.

  12. Yegor Gladyshev on June 25, 2021 at 1:39 am

Couldn’t make remmina to work in deepin through rdp. Unfortunately.

  13. Matthew Bossert on June 25, 2021 at 1:41 am

  16. Game Lover on June 25, 2021 at 1:44 am

Deepin and Garuda Linux are my favorites

  17. Tyler Rogers on June 25, 2021 at 1:49 am

I used to hate Ubuntu with a passion I typically reserve for Antifa, BLM rioters, and cancel culture, but with a slight tweak to the dock (relocating it to the bottom of the screen), an addition of software sources, and some minor theme changes, it’s now become my favorite current distro.

What’s more, it sips energy rather than guzzling it as Windows 10 did on my puny Asus netbook. I wouldn’t go as far as to say that it’s worth installing on my M1 Mac, but it sure beats the hell out of Windows 10S! Kudos to you, Canonical! <3

  18. hartoz on June 25, 2021 at 1:50 am

Deepin Linux cannot be trusted. I installed it, and there is a lot of hidden Chinese apps in there.
I cannot say for certain if this distro send info out to CCP or if there are any backdoors or not, however the app store looks a little suspicious.
Also the browser is proprietary and uses CCP approved code and search engines.
So if privacy is your reason to run Linux, then Deepin is not for you.

  19. Alex Rabin on June 25, 2021 at 1:51 am

14:38 There is lots of free software that you can download for free.

  20. Michał Dyba on June 25, 2021 at 1:51 am

I know that desktop environment is really subjective but why didn’t you show more of them? I mean not everyone likes genome and when talking about different distros you should’ve at least mention that they come with some other ones by default as well (and should’ve showed them)

  21. Mikoto on June 25, 2021 at 1:53 am

What would be the best distro to use if I wanted to download and install any application to a different drive?
I know with Ubuntu I couldn’t change the install location for the app store.

  22. Haranoi17 on June 25, 2021 at 1:55 am

You pronounce wersion instead of version and vindows instead of windows XDDD

  23. Soumya Bardhan on June 25, 2021 at 1:55 am

    Have you tried zorin??

  24. Iam G.O.A.T on June 25, 2021 at 1:57 am

I have a physcially damaged touchscreen on 14 month old thinkcentre pc from Lenovo. it costs 700usd on sale and its 350 plus taxes shipping customs to replace the screen if i do it which im not confident i can.
. the top right 1/9th of the screen is mostly black and has 2 large bruises where in Windows 10 the mouse jumps around by itself and lands on these damaged points of touchscreen randomly and alot making it almost unuseable.. I have elementry dualbooting alongside windows 10 and it doesnt do this at all but i cant see volume button and barely see power button in this damaged corner.

. So im looking to install a different linux distro on there to make the computer still useable.
Maybe one that has tiling natively and can be used to not need this portion of the screen and of course a distro that doesnt have a title bar with important buttons under the broke screen part.

so which distro should i use?
