Nice guy. Thanks a lot. Understand Focusrite on 1# but Komplete on 2#!???

  2. Ludvio on July 13, 2021 at 2:31 am

i have server motherboard w/o soundcard. will one of these work for me?

  3. jason romero on July 13, 2021 at 2:31 am

Focusrite 3rd Gen is USB 2.0 with a USB-C connection. Not USB 3.0.

  4. Uzer Zero on July 13, 2021 at 2:31 am

Why oh WHY didn’t Presonus just rework the FireStudio Mobile to use USB 3.x instead of discontinuing it!? Still the all-time best A.I. for the price / footprint.

  5. Alans Technical on July 13, 2021 at 2:33 am

I think so i have the best sound card with me… lol.. just wasted my time for seeing the fist lost…
    2i2 studio with me πŸ˜‚

  6. Laurio Vincent on July 13, 2021 at 2:34 am

I have the focusrite solo 3rd gen but there is no sound output after connection. I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and Focus Control suite but no use. I even went to control panel sound settings and set focusrite as default but it still didn’t work. Any suggestions?

  7. Raja on July 13, 2021 at 2:34 am

Moving forwards one year to March 2021. Just got an AUDIENT EVO 8. It has 4 Combo inputs. Unlike the Audient iD14, you can adjust the headphone our line out volume. What I *really* like about the EVO 8 is that I can use two of the Combo inputs to send in audio from my cell phone or tablet using a 1/8" TRS to split 1/4" TS cable. So now singing covers of songs, (karaoke) πŸ™‚ is easy! Hey, don’t laugh…you sing with a guitar, I sing with karaoke backup! πŸ™‚ Whereas with the Scarlett 4i4 or MOTU M4, the Line Level inputs will NOT accept signals from cell phones or tablets…only from mixers and other line level voltage outputs. I guess if had a mixer without USB outs, I would find the line level inputs handy.
These interfaces are USB powered. So I tried an experiment. I powered the EVO 8 with a USB power source to see if I could speak into a microphone and listen to the output on a headphone. No luck. The LEDs light up with every word I say, but I cannot hear a word on the headphones. Ah, well. I guess the headphone output is computer software controlled.

Thanks for the info, but could’ve done without the "#metoo" jokes πŸ™„

  9. dipon on July 13, 2021 at 2:37 am

Thanks for the nice review. I cannot overlook that at "4:31" you said "Komplete Audio" is spelled wrong, Just to let you know that Native Instrument is a German Company and thats how it is spelled in German. A little research goes a long way.

  10. Chanel Divine on July 13, 2021 at 2:37 am

In that price range, ssl2 for me.

  11. PNW Coin Connection on July 13, 2021 at 2:38 am

DO NOT BUY THE AUDIOBOX 96. it has an insane amount of noise as is almost unusable for music production.

  12. Martin S on July 13, 2021 at 2:41 am

Audient ID14 is the best of that list. I cant believe no one uses Behringer HD series (202, 204, 404). They are good and cheap, I put them over Scarletts.

  13. Oleg Larshin on July 13, 2021 at 2:41 am

Do I need an audio interface if I only make electronic music without recording any instruments life? Thank you!

  14. Vegan Kitchen Beautician on July 13, 2021 at 2:42 am

    Cool!..with a k πŸ˜‰

  15. Luis Gonzales on July 13, 2021 at 2:43 am

I am new in this field.
1.) When you said lowest latency; that means quickest signal traveling?

  16. MichaelW1980 on July 13, 2021 at 2:43 am

Well… those are the most popular interfaces, certainly, since most of them are known to give a big bang for the buck. But does this make them the BEST ones? Cannot agree with the title choice.

  17. Mike de Velta on July 13, 2021 at 2:44 am

5 best mid range. RME? Apogee?

  18. What Ever on July 13, 2021 at 2:46 am

What is about the Motu M2?

  19. Ana Kamhi on July 13, 2021 at 2:48 am

Thanks for this video! I’ve been looking at the scarlet rite. Do u think it will work for M1?

  20. Cadz on July 13, 2021 at 2:50 am

Using scarlett for awhile and made 8 songs. It’s great but upon upgrading to audient in my experience Audient’s preamps are way more nice to me than scarlett

    Why is M-Audio Air 192/4 isn’t there

What do you think about the Arrow UA please ?

  23. Cool Mind on July 13, 2021 at 2:54 am

Repeating technical specs doesn’t make a good video. How about testing the sound and recording quality of the individual devices?

  24. methodLDZ on July 13, 2021 at 2:55 am

Your "name" is also spelled wrong

  25. Wenso on July 13, 2021 at 2:55 am

Is it okay to mix in an untreated room?

  26. Ishaan Nigam on July 13, 2021 at 2:56 am

I am a singer and I am planning to buy my first interface. Can you help with suggesting the good interface out of these:
    1. Steinberg UR22C
    2. Audient ID4
    3. Focusrite Scarlett 2i2
    4. Steinberg UR22C

    Note: I don’t have a treated room.

  27. Sean Hughes on July 13, 2021 at 2:56 am

I make electronic music with ableton and Im at the point were my computers cpu is begginning to struggle with the more complex parts of my arrangement so I want to buy a soundcard to fix this. The only hardware I will use is a mic and midi controller.. does anyone have any reccomendations? I use SHP9500 headcphones atm which dont have a high impedenece but from what Im told it will be improved with a dac… ideally Id like something portable too

  33. Warren Postma on July 13, 2021 at 3:01 am

It’s weird that these "producers" are all happy with 2 inputs?

  34. Abi Pascual on July 13, 2021 at 3:05 am

Thank you for this video, very informative! ❀️

  35. adamaj on July 13, 2021 at 3:10 am

I’m new to this and just purchased Cubase 10.5, but haven’t installed it yet. So if I get one of these audio interfaces, I won’t have to get an ASIO driver for my motherboard’s built-in sound chip? Does the audio interface become my ASIO driver? Thanks.

  36. Dimitri & The Scarecrow on July 13, 2021 at 3:12 am

Audience id14 is a dubious Audio interface. Never dropped mine or had anything physically harmful happen to it. Suddenly the headphone jack stopped working. Secondly, it will randomly stop working because I suspect the software is unstable. I tried all the support stuff but this is just a risky investment. Take it from a guy who has it

  37. Daniel Spira on July 13, 2021 at 3:12 am

Presonus Studiolive 16r, 24r, and 32r are insane full mixer interfaces, with full console mixer expandability. The best imo

  38. Gabriel Garcia on July 13, 2021 at 3:12 am

Is an interface needed for latency problems

  39. CATyara on July 13, 2021 at 3:13 am

Hello from Russia! Thank you for the video, very informative. But what option do you think is suitable for recording vocals and electric guitars? Thank you.

  40. Reticular Beats on July 13, 2021 at 3:14 am

I ditched Scarlett 2i2 for Umc22 and cash, later i got E-mu 1616m…and now i want to buy another as a spare.

  41. SKEHSEP on July 13, 2021 at 3:14 am

I use fl studio 20 does anyone know which sound card they reccomend???

  42. El canal azul de Martin Mirage on July 13, 2021 at 3:14 am

What You all think about of the Steinberg ur22? πŸ‘€

  43. ZeroOneOneTwo Three on July 13, 2021 at 3:18 am

Run away from focusrite… My audiophile smartphone sounds way better than 2i2

  44. luke casey on July 13, 2021 at 3:18 am

Do you really need a midi connection on the interface if you are only going to use it for vinyl and guitar

  45. Andrew Hayes on July 13, 2021 at 3:20 am

What do you use for your MIDI control for your computer as the Scarlet does not control MIDI?

  46. Mananser Anne on July 13, 2021 at 3:24 am

Hello, may I ask, which is the best sound interface to buy for recording violin? Thank you

  47. Bradley Borg on July 13, 2021 at 3:25 am

"This guy has a good sense of humor, he’s seems honest, he’s not running the clock up…" @6:28 You can’t be making jokes about shit like this if you want people to take your stuff seriously.

  49. Kym Cainday on July 13, 2021 at 3:28 am

For audio quality, Audient vs Focusrite, i’ll go for AUDIENT .. Focusrite’s 192khz sample rate is not a big thing for me, it’s not even really noticeable to most people. Sample rate, for me, is just like frame rate on videos which having too much is not so pleasing that’s why 24fps is the most recommended for cinematic video shots. 96khz sample rate of audient is the right range for me. PLUS, the audients high quality preamp, it is comparably quieter than the focusrite. The focusrite is a bit bright for me. I love the smooth sound of AUDIENT.
