I’m sorry the marshmello concert?? How is that a defining moment of the decade for gaming.
Also what about eyes up guardian or Cayde’s death for D1 or D2?

  6. J Lord on May 18, 2021 at 3:10 am

Despite the fact that it didn’t come out this decade, my most memorable gaming moment as Starkiller ripping a Star Destroyer out of the sky in the first Force Unleashed.

and the death of the joker in arkham city

  8. Teddy Bagginns on May 18, 2021 at 3:12 am

Bruh xenoblade chronicles may not have been massively iconic but you have to admit it did save the genre and the story was incredible

Halo 2: "Master Chief what are doing on that ship?"
    "Sir, Finishing this fight"
I think it was a disservice to not include the ending of Halo 2 or any Halo moment, at the very least franchise could be on a most defining "series" list. It was the game that made everyone who had an Xbox glad and everyone else jealous

The numbnuts who misspelled Altair needs a swift kick to the gonads. Perhaps even the teeth. Might restart that person’s brain.

  11. Chris on May 18, 2021 at 3:18 am

I feel like Skyrim and or Fallout New Vegas should have made this list. But the list was still really good.

  12. Jotta H. on May 18, 2021 at 3:20 am

Don’t do what I did. Don’t google White phosphorus aftermath.

Jesus Christ, how are humans even allowed to exist.

    Top 20 Gaming Moments:
Breath of the Wild: Existing (with the Mipha part probably being the best segment)

Fire Emblem: Awakening. After Radiant Dawn, the 10th entry in the series, Intelligent Systems began attempting remakes of their original titles. The first remake, Shadow Dragon, officially introduced western audiences to Marth, who had previously been "The Fire Emblem guy who showed up in Smash Bros." It…did not do well. The next remake, New Mystery of the Emblem, was, as a result, a Japan-exclusive title. It…also didn’t do so great. As a result, Nintendo declared that if Intelligent Systems did not release outstanding results for the 13th title of the series, the franchise would be shut down. And they did. Combining elements from all previous games, including famous weapons (such as the Falchion from the original games and Sol Katti from the first game to be released to Western audiences), references to famous characters (Priam being Ike’s heir, the "Earth Mother" (Mila)), and locations (such as the World Tree and Demon’s Ingle, the resting places of (respectively) Mila and Duma, the gods of Fire Emblem: Gaiden), it also expanded on the concept of the Tactician from Fire Emblem/Fire Emblem: Blazing Blade, and the genealogy system of Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War (which the next game, Fates, would also attempt, but not as well). There is also the Legacy System, in which players could fight and recruit their choices of dozens of famous characters from past games (10 for each of the first 10 games, an additional 10 from the second generation of Genealogy of the Holy War, and 10 additional famous villains). The game was so well received that when IS remade Gaiden as Shadows of Valentia, it made references to Awakening (primarily Alm going to the east, finding a familiar-looking shield, and facing a familiar endgame boss). It is also now tied for the second-most represented series in Smash Bros, with it and Pokemon having eight fighters and only the Mario franchise itself having more representation. The somewhat DBZ Cell saga-like plotline probably helped as well (see if this sound familiar: a child from an apocalyptic future in which all the heroes are dead, one of the strongest having died before everything went to hell, goes back in time to try to prevent that future. However, in doing so, they draw the ire of a massive threat, who also goes back in time, consumes the life force of countless people, and tries to destroy the world there, only to be stopped by someone with a genetic connection. Oh, and they really, really want to absorb a certain someone, or multiple people).

  21. Michael D on May 18, 2021 at 3:32 am

How are you not going to include that first breathtaking scene when Link leaves his stasis chamber and you get to see the opening of the absolutely beautiful BOTW world!!? That will always stick with me.

Doms sacrifice changed me as a young adolescent kid bro 😭

  34. Ian Chamberlain on May 18, 2021 at 3:45 am

I soo badly wanted to watch this video to the end, but the annoying background lady singing the same song over and over prevented me for watching further than 5 minutes.

  35. Olru Gibi on May 18, 2021 at 3:46 am

I won’t use that scene from TLOU to defining the decade. Also Bioshock Infinite’s ending has to be in top 10.

  36. Robert Sertori on May 18, 2021 at 3:47 am

What is the annoying music track behind most the narration?

  37. Jessy Gouder on May 18, 2021 at 3:48 am

Dom cues my waterworks every. Single. Time.

  42. Cameron Radaszewski on May 18, 2021 at 3:51 am

This whole list is messed up in so many ways. The second that you put Dom’s sacrifice on the Honorable mention section, you lost me.

  43. Finnegan Laurin 27 on May 18, 2021 at 3:52 am

Watchmojo: horizon zero dawn was probably the most fun you could’ve had with a bow and arrow from the last decade

  50. Kisa on May 18, 2021 at 4:01 am

I’m surprised Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice didn’t get an entry here. So many defining moments.
