Contrary to what is said at 6.58′, oled TVs don’t have 4 million pixels, but above 8 million pixels (3840×2160=8294 400)
When i switched from an older LCD 720p to a 1080P LED, i thought the colors were crap, the cathode backlighting was much more pleasing to me, i might have got a bad LED set though… but i miss the colors on that old LCD
My opinion is if you watch CNN you deserve to get burn in and more
13:14 If you watch CNN all day, burn in is the least of the problems.
@Stop the FOMO I would like your feedback on the TCL 65S535 QLED 4k TV priced at $630 for 65". I can find plenty of 6 series reviews, but I can’t find any on the 5 series which is more budget-friendly.
Very informative
I’ll be getting my first OLED soon (around $1,300 to $1,500), but I’m a little wary about burn-in while gaming. Do you have tips to help prevent burn-in. As a precaution, should I be turning the TV off every 2-3 hours for about 15-20 minutes? Don’t OLED’s have some sort of pixel refreshing feature or something? Should I be doing that once a day or week? Thanks for the tips.
Why is no one talking about Lgs NanoCells 65NANO99
Theres a buzzing sound .
Mic needs to be fixed
Hi thank you for the review. which one do you recommend between hisense h9g vs TCL 8 series? Thank you
What about large IPS TVs?
Now everyone fears they are missing out on that microLED goodness.
All i know is that i will NEVER go back to LCD/LED/QLED again. Backlight is an immersion killer. Self emitting pixels all the way. Insane immersion at night in games and movies and viewing angles are perfect, which is important to me too. The change from QLED to OLED opened my eyes. Never backlight again.
Encouraging others to not watch CNN too much is good for so many reasons other than just burn-in
What about the TCL oled ? £550 would love you to do a review on that lol
If you’re getting your news from CNN you have much bigger problems than worrying about burn in on your TV!
I’ve already bought my new TV but I’m still watching back all the videos. Edit: If someone watches CNN everyday all day long they kind of deserve to get burn-in haha.
Many viewers have asked me to clarify these differences, and hopefully this video helps your TV shopping adventure!

Fomo you forgot to mention that I can get a 75q90r for £2400 whereas a 77c9 will cost 5k. Much better value I say. And I like dynamic vivid images even in the dark. And the blacks and black enough. And very rarely do i see blooming. That 200 nit limiter is a real killer for OLED in my opinion.
Do you think 8k will be the new 4k in 5-8 years time?
How many times do I have to hear you say there are only two types…….ect Get to the point. Jesus!
In The Uk Most freeview Channels Carry a Logo of some sort or another so i went for the LCD phillips 7300 series 55inch because of burn in worries
i mostly watch in a darkened room and the quality suits me as specially with the Ambilight system (lots of Peeps See it as a gimmick) I Dont
go to a movie theatre Cinema when bright scenes are cast you will find that the Brightness/ Colour of the image is portrayed further out from the screen
ambilight if thats the effect phillips went for then it suits my personal preference i watch most of your YouTube vids
was shocked to learn through another of your vids that TCL had bought out phillips while retaining the brand name only hope they keep producing sets with Ambilight
love your presentation and easy to follow descriptions of several subjects
Very informative 💯
If you watch that many hours of CNN to get burnin, then you have an artificial life.
Who on earth would watch cnn anyways… buy the OLED.
For people to understand, you should provide a picture of an open tv showing the LED backlighting. I know what you are talking about because I have actually seen the rear insides of a tv, but many people can’t properly visualize in their mind what you are saying.
Theres a buzzing sound .

GREAT review !!
Thanks for the information, very informative as always. This review and your reliability one helped me decide on the LG C8 oled 55 inch at Best buy it was less than $800. It is replacing a 2018 vizio p series 55 inch. Was it a good dessision?.
Jesus christ fix the buzz sound in the room or edit it out
All I have to say about OLED is LG failed to make it a mass market product 😒😠!!! Most people can’t afford the cost of a frinkin used car on a TV, $2,000-$5,000+!!! I’m only interested in consumer products that are financially accessible to the mass market. I got a 75 inch HiSense H8G recently, retails for $1,250 at Best Buy, very quality tv, not crazy, outrageously priced.
And what about Dualcell tv. Is it also LCD TV or something else.
What is taking so long for a third screen technology?
fomo on another rehashed same, same video. I think not.
Thorough explanation, but way too redundant…
I got the BX oled 55in for 1398 USD after tax!!! Got a great deal at best buy during the holidays, if i was a a week earlier it be 100 hundred less but i had saved up enough at that point, and sadly the crazy low price of the cx meant it sold out a week before i was ready and had to settle for the BX
I gave your OLED theory a test. I turned it on CNN for two months. . Good news is I don’t have A cnn logo. I do, however, have a burned in logo that says Fake News
Did you get a new camera or lighting? Video looking clean and crispy my friend 👌
Hi, was thinking about the 85" sony x900h. Would this be the best for movie and gaming in this size, and is there anything coming worth waiting for? Thx
QLED for me.
You forgot to say "tv"😉
77" oled cx or 85" q90
Does size matter?
what would you chose mixed light room, big wall and big living room.
Your burn in conclusions are not accurate…as it takes thousands of hours off CNN…consistently, will cause burn in…. watching that much CNN will melt your brain!
Who watches cnn?😁
Who would watch CNN all day lol
Im looking to upgrade my TV to an 80-85" and not sure the best option for me. The TV will be in a bright room and used for streaming content(Mainly sports, Netflix , Prime, etc…). Currently im looking at the Samsung Q90T but not sure if there are better TV’s in that $$$ range? Any suggestions or is that a good TV?
Just got my X900H (55 Inch) yesterday.. Oh boy..
I had Samsung 7-series (55 inch 4k – 2015 model).. and X900h is huge improvement (everything is better)
I didn’t try the HDR , because am using it on PC, but I’ll try it today & see
P.S the VA Panel of Sony X900h is better than I thought, am looking at screen from 2 meters away at 30 degree and I didn’t notice any downgrade in screen, it’s really close to IPS screen viewing angle ( at least for my old Samsung 55 – 4k TV)
My friend, this was an excellent review in great detail.
Outstanding review on LCD v OLED.
wow..this video is so informative!! Thank you! I am learning so much. I am in the market for tv upgrade for my living and have watched a view of your videos.
