New Samsung Tablets: Everything there is to know

New Samsung Tablets: Everything there is to know

Apple’s iPad may be the dominant player in tablets, but Samsung does not care: The Korean giant is reportedly readying 11- and 12.4-inch Android tablets. With those larger sizes, Samsung seems to be eyeing the iPad Pro. There is a bigger question though: Is there really a tablet market outside of the iPad?

Bigger size is great but hopefully with that extra size they upgrade the experience by getting more apps optimized. Especially video edit, business apps, etc.

  2. Yasser Saeed on June 24, 2021 at 1:43 am

I don’t know why most reviews forget to mention that with the 256GB version of Galaxy Tap S6 you also get 8GB of RAM instead of 6GB. Also, the S-Pen is included free in the Tap S6… Get your facts straight before posting videos.

  3. Max Julien on June 24, 2021 at 1:45 am

The tab I have is the Worst! Looking forward to a big improvement

  4. Ej Triance on June 24, 2021 at 1:45 am

  6. KING! on June 24, 2021 at 1:46 am

I love the tab s6! I’m definitely getting the tab s7! Having the ability to sideload apps is priceless! Many people don’t understand how awesome this feature is!

  7. Tiago Ferreira on June 24, 2021 at 1:47 am

Actually I don’t agree with this,if I am an android user there is no advantage on buying an I pad. If I have a Samsung phone I may just buy a Samsung tablet to take advantage of it’s full potential. I pads do work verry well if u have an iPhone. So yeah there is a HUGE market for Samsung on this.
Not to mention the artist side of view

  8. d.ronzo17 on June 24, 2021 at 1:47 am

it has the stylus in the box lmao, has been for years. i think youre talking about a replacement pen. do some quick searching first, cnet

  9. Dave A Driffield on June 24, 2021 at 1:47 am

YES, there is a need and market for Android tablets. Why make a video putting Android tablets down? Are you paid by Apple?

  10. Beer Can on June 24, 2021 at 1:47 am

I’m an iPhone guy but love my Galaxy Tab S5e. Works fantastic for my needs and looking forward to the new S7 offerings.

  11. Bradavon on June 24, 2021 at 1:48 am

The irony Samsung released a 12" Tab Pro tablet 5-6 years ago but it’ll still look like Samsung are copying Apple.

  12. John on June 24, 2021 at 1:50 am

Did he just recommend a Fire Tablet?!? Thumbs down

  13. Hariwaa on June 24, 2021 at 1:56 am

Can’t wait the 12.4-inch tablet. Held on to my galaxy tab s2 for ages hoping for a bigger Android tablet. Apple? I’m good, love my freedom. Huawei? lol. Might as well donate to CCP’s "lets round everybody" cause.

  14. aoescool on June 24, 2021 at 1:57 am

idk DeX is annihilating anything that apple coming with.. ill continue getting samsung just for dex alone.

  15. StingyTrigger on June 24, 2021 at 1:58 am

Samsung launched DEX first. Apple is just catching up to the idea of using tablets like computers. They didn’t even have full mouse support till now. How is this guy a tech journo?

  16. Tokyo Mkhwanazi on June 24, 2021 at 1:59 am

Terrible video! Samsung Tablets are amazing.

  17. Third-World Tech Talk on June 24, 2021 at 2:00 am

Quality of tech journalists today are very poor. Even a Youtube influencer wouldnt make such mistake.

I hope this guy didnt come from a Social Studies degree.

  18. Vatsal Shah on June 24, 2021 at 2:01 am

Whaaat??? The S-Pen is not sold separately..

  19. Hแป“ng Hแบฃi Bรนi on June 24, 2021 at 2:01 am

"It doesn’t make any sense to make an Android tablet in 2020. Are there markets for this?"

What a stupid question. What’s the name of the guy? Are there positions for such stupid guys like these in Cnet? Does Covid-19 affect the brain, too?

  20. mashinajoe on June 24, 2021 at 2:04 am

I live my 10.5 tab s. Im gona buy the tab 7 12.4, you don’t know what you’re talking about.

  23. Paul T Sjordal on June 24, 2021 at 2:08 am

I use Android tablets and will probably get the Tab S7. I primarily use them for reading e-textbooks, watching Netflix, light web surfing, taking notes in class, and social media.

  24. ImHazeyyy on June 24, 2021 at 2:08 am

While you are setting up a samsung tablet it says you need to update the phone?

  25. Teresa Yeates on June 24, 2021 at 2:09 am

Does anyone know if it is possible to take a picture with one of these without holding it? Or having someone else holding it?

  26. smartazz beuch on June 24, 2021 at 2:09 am

I am Samsung for life! However, the regular tablet does not make any sense… However, I have always bought the international unlocked version, so you get an actual native phone dialer with the tablet. Samsung is still in the game because European and Asian customers love this feature. ONLY ATT&T and T-mobile will allow this phone to be treated as a phone because it technically is! I imagine that the next tablet after the Tab S7 will be a foldable and 14 or 15" when opened… that would not eat into the foldable phone profits. I am here for it….!

  27. Kongo TIMES on June 24, 2021 at 2:10 am

it is so DAM AND STUPID to state that the S-pen comes separate with tab s6.

  28. Paul Marsden Sr on June 24, 2021 at 2:10 am

Great video ๐Ÿ‘ Sir. I’m waiting for the Tab S7 istill have the Tabs2. Stay safe and take care Sir ๐Ÿ™.

  29. Al Garcia on June 24, 2021 at 2:11 am

Stop giving reviews if you are already pre-decided and don’t know the strengths of Android. I wanted verified info on specs, features, etc. I got an unrequested editorial. I get enough of that with politics.
I have iPad Pro, Note10+, S4, and several PCs. Though the iPad usually has more polished high end apps, I simply can do far more on my S4. I even have Bluestacks on my PC to emulate Android. My 13" Lenovo is a great machine (i7, 16G, 512G, pen, blah blah blah) but I use my somewhat antiquated S4 and waiting for the S7. The only time I use my main PC (desktop i9, 32G, 10Tb, dual screen, 2080) is for things none of my tablets or laptops can handle and it is not exactly portable.

  35. sharon cronin on June 24, 2021 at 2:23 am

I respectfully disagree with you about using phones instead of tablets no way would I give up my Samsung so for any phone and I intend to get the s7 as soon as its released

  36. rawar2377 on June 24, 2021 at 2:24 am

These guys always talk cap about android. They are IOS snobs. I love my S6 it has a better screen and way way better speakers than the ipad pro. Did I mention the screen. Oled hdr+ !

  37. Alex Seiffert on June 24, 2021 at 2:25 am

My only problem with the tab S6 pen is it looks bulky๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ (just sharing my thoughts)

  40. Renรฉ Vancoillie on June 24, 2021 at 2:27 am

I am still using my samsung note pro 12.2 inch ( since 2015) with top battery , but shame on samsung for the updates , stuck on 5.0.2 , only one safety update 2017 in Europe .They have to support software for their tablets same way as Apple .

  41. adrenalinegroove on June 24, 2021 at 2:28 am

I use my tab S4 daily for music production and video editing. I didn’t upgrade to the s6 because it wasn’t that much of an upgrade, plus they lost the headphone jack that I use all the time. If the s7 had a headphone jack and a 12" display, it would be awesome

  42. Hell Spawn Ruler Of Hell on June 24, 2021 at 2:29 am

Android apps run just fine on android tablets for me.
iPhone apps on iPads tho. ๐Ÿคฎ

  43. Vigtornilliaa on June 24, 2021 at 2:31 am

Iโ€™m waiting till 2022 to get a new tablet

  44. Joal Blo on June 24, 2021 at 2:32 am

Samsung made 12 inch tablets first. Remember the note tablet from 2013? Why doesn’t anyone remember this? I don’t get it? I’m really disappointed that tech journalists don’t know this. Damn, maybe I should start a channel.

  45. Danny Bartlett on June 24, 2021 at 2:32 am

The price seems ok as long as its faster then the tab6 so creators can go crazy

  46. 3b0d1st on June 24, 2021 at 2:33 am

the 18.4 will be the view 3 if the view 3 is going to be out

  47. Samuel M Sullivan on June 24, 2021 at 2:37 am

There is a great need for tablets . 12 .4 will sell very well just as a 18 if one came out .

I have a fold and I still would buy a tablet and see many needs for it especially with Xbox being able to play from a cloud .Tablets are also second Tv for video viewing. Samsung being that it has office suite will be a very productive tool I believe

  48. Nirav Joshi on June 24, 2021 at 2:37 am

There is something called Samsung Tablet? OK…lolzz

  49. Huey John Villanueva on June 24, 2021 at 2:37 am

Ipad was the bigger iphone before the ipad OS. So hating on android because they are still on the process of transition is sick. He just countered his own argument. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ quality video CNET

@3:05 You have to consider that kids and older people with bad eyes like tablets. Something better than a cheap, wonky RCA tablet is much appreciated. I’m not going through the motions of trying to install Google Play on a Fire Tablet. iPad?.Not interested in the Apple tyrannical ecosystem. I like my Note 9, but I always cast to screen on my 50" 4k T.V. and hardly ever watch YouTube or movies on the phone. Nearing my 50’s, my eyes just can’t take looking at the small screens too long.
