OMG I <3 your reviews!! I was all set to get an OPPO R15 Pro after researching literally all day – then I get an email alert about Xiaomi. What’s Xiaomi? Never heard of it. Google some reviews and you gave a really good vibe and seemingly trustworthy. Did some more reading, and looks like Redmi Note 8 Pro is for me (price point). I just want a good screen, but more importantly good bang for buck photography (to get in spots to shoot my little pets where my DSLR can’t get to). The ridiculous 720p 960fps video sealed it for me. I’ll be amazed if it processes down to super-smooth 1/32th slo-mo, but even at lower settings it beats out anything the R15 Pro could do.
