We just got one like this last night, minus the water and ice in the door. I would have liked the ice in the door feature but I could not resist the $1000 off sticker because of a tiny dent in the door.
I’m hoping you will answer a question for me. How long did it take for yours to start cooling?
I know the manual says wait 24 hours for temperature to stabilize and put your food in, but it’s been 12 hours and its still 76 dang degrees in there. Every refrigerator I’ve ever owned starts cooling immediately when you plug it in!

I have a Maytag refrigerator very similar to this that I got in 2016 and so far no problems.

Thanks for posting. Ordered this Fridge in July and are still waiting in November. Disappointing from an industry with a reputation for poor quality and reliability now demonstrating its incompetence by not producing and supplying demand. Hope your appliance lasts.

Oh I agree with you on the organizing also the top shelf everything seems to freeze in the back I don’t have the freezer below just a side by side buy Maytag what the same handles mine is not finger mark proof I have not hooked up my dishwasher made by Maytag with the same handles but I do have the stove the knobs get very hot when using the oven I am disappointed in Maytag

This was a super-good video to watch. I had already had in mind I was going to buy this fridge, but after seeing this video, no. Turns out, I had the same concerns you did, and it especially bothered me that the icemaker took up so much room. I can only guess that the left-side door popping and then beeping is the result of one of your family members closing the right-side door before closing the left one and having the left unlatched when the right is closed.

Thank you very helpful. Just purchased a similar refrigerator today. The model I purchased does have crushed ice. I would have preferred a side by side also, but apparently, they are very hard to get right now… Covid I guess affected manufacturing. My model also has an additional shelf in the refrigerator next to your short top shelf which in essence makes it one continual shelf to the ice maker so no item falling issue there. The freezer on mine is laid out a little differently. Perhaps I’ll update this once it’s delivered tomorrow. Thanks again.

I live for refrigerator organization, so I know what you mean. I would say, watch some videos on Refrigerator Organization. People provide some pretty awesome methods on how they’re organizing. Maybe you should get a french door fridge similar to the one I have with the ice maker in the freezer rather than on the left door and a water dispenser inside on the left. Opens up lots of room and is much cheaper.

does the door stick out to the side when open? or is it flushed even when open? I’m looking to buy this fridge and wondering if having it stuck next to a wall would be a problem. Thanks!

I got one yesterday from craglist free . And its in good shape . The owner thought it was broken or something . But when i came home a plug it . It came on and eveything works freezer and frige i was like wow . Happy holiday my friend .
