iPhone SE 2020 In-Depth Review | The Best Value iPhone in Years?

iPhone SE 2020 | InsideTech Review

Apple’s latest addition to the iPhone lineup is here: iPhone SE. Following in the footsteps of the previous generation iPhone SE (2016), this phone packs the power of the iPhone 11 Pro into the body of an iPhone 8 – and costs just a fraction of the price of a flagship model.
With modern high-end specs in a smaller and cheaper handset, this is one of the best value smartphones on the market right now, and could just be the best value iPhone Apple has made in years.

The iPhone se 2020 is my first iPhone and I love it. Got it a week ago. Didn’t realize that apple makes good phones. Awesome review.

  4. Rene Cechm on January 1, 2022 at 3:12 pm

Nice review you should deserve more subs but I have a question. I’m thinking of buying my first iPhone because I want to try iOS and apple ecosystem. My current daily driver is Mi 9 so it is great phone too. Please help me 😅

  5. Joyjeet Paul on January 1, 2022 at 3:12 pm

My Nokia 8.1 is way better than SE 2020 🤪

  6. Richard Jones on January 1, 2022 at 3:16 pm

Was always a iPhone user from the original to the 6s then went over to android. I’ve lost all the interest into the flagship phones on offer at the moment, I think the SE is retro looking to me and I love the look… I’m going to wait for the new 12 but the basic and smallest one

  7. wvvji on January 1, 2022 at 3:16 pm

Some people are missing the point of the SE it’s meant for people who don’t like the new designs but want the latest tech.

  8. sixpackz on January 1, 2022 at 3:17 pm

iphone SE user 2016 and still alive

  9. JULESTHATRUTH on January 1, 2022 at 3:18 pm

Hey everyone, I need guidance. I have a iphone xs max gold and I’m studying to trade it for a iphone se 2020. Can I please get help on this decision if to make the trade or not? Would genuinely appreciate it

  10. Timmy Turton on January 1, 2022 at 3:18 pm

For just $300 you could get a better Upgrade… 🤔
Yeah I think the whole point of the SE is it’s for People who don’t want to spend nearly double the money to upgrade. And don’t want all the Bells amd Whistles that come on the newest Flagship phones tgat $800+. It’s for someone like myself who likes using iOS and want a decent quality phone at an affordable price.
I have the Se (2016) and I’m thinking of upgrading to the SE 2020 as it’s great value for money and is a great size. I’m glad Apple have started to do the SE Line of Products and just recently bought the Apple Watch SE and am pleased with it. I’ll be getting the iPhone SE 2020 in Product RED in the near future. Great Video. I subscribed so looking forward to future content. 🎥📱😎👍🏼

  11. Now What? on January 1, 2022 at 3:19 pm

Thanks for the in depth review. To answer your question on the end: I am coming from the SE 2016, can’t afford the XR, but am a little wary of the battery life on the SE 2020. So, I am considering the 8 Plus as well…🤔 Which one would you recommend?

The 8 Plus in my country is cheaper than the SE, btw.

I’m coming from an iPhone 5 haha.
So yeah…this should be a tiny bit of an upgrade!

  16. Dun Trolling on January 1, 2022 at 3:29 pm

I came from a phone with buttons…that was just a phone and not even remotely smart. So tthis was a huge step change. And, so far I’m delighted. It does feel familiar in many ways as I already have an iPad.

The Iphone SE 2020 is perfect <3

  18. cat video maker on January 1, 2022 at 3:31 pm

I really love the tiny fonts you’ve chosen. It looks so nice; doesn’t clutter up the screen.

I’ll be upgrading from the iPhone 6 16gb Space Gray to the iPhone SE 2020 128gb Product Red.

I want to upgrade from an iPhone 6 to the new SE, is it worth it?

  23. Mario Sotelo on January 1, 2022 at 3:37 pm

My current phone is a Moto G7 play. The SE is a definite upgrade. My phone has a Snapdragon 632 processor. I can’t wait to see how the A13 chip compares. It arrives later today. I also got the good news that my 2 favorite games are also available in the App Store. The one thing that bums me out is the lack of SD card slot and no headphone jack. It’s an acceptable compromise for the improved performance.

I switch from iPhone 11 Pro after 7 months and I don’t regret. Yeah, Pro had great camera but was too much heavy for me. I love my new SE. Everything is great. 👍🏻

Finally found a proffesional way to review iPhone SE, other reviews is like: blahh blahhh blahhhh

  35. Michael Bell on January 1, 2022 at 3:50 pm

I just picked one up today. Cricket Wireless has them on sale in store for $49 when you port over a number and get the $60 unlimited plan for your first month. $399 was already great but $49 is an absolute steal IMO. Thats less than most the garbage Android phones sell for these days. My main phone is a 12 Pro max. Ive been a big phone guy for years, but the 12 PM is just too big. Its sure nice to have one handed use back again and be able to reach into the corners. The A13 is still a great chip and the camera is pretty good in this too. Touch ID is a throwback and Id almost rather have the bezels than the stupid notch. Great size an weight. Feels like a feather compared to the 12 Pro Max and even the recent larger iPhones. I got red, the black on red combo is awesome. The SE might actually become my daily driver. Great little phone.

  36. Ninnjette on January 1, 2022 at 3:52 pm

Coming from an LG Stylo 6 to an SE. HUGE upgrade…

  37. Vinh Lê PRO on January 1, 2022 at 3:52 pm

Best valued but the best budget is still ip 7 plus lol :)) still 2more years I think if Apple keeps up with their software optimization

  38. Mogie Hope on January 1, 2022 at 3:53 pm

Night mode and this phone would be perfect. Sadly I’ve learned that I can’t be without night mode. I’ll have to sell it, and buy the 12.

  39. Ahmed Alansari on January 1, 2022 at 3:53 pm

from Samsung J8 to this beauty in 4 days 👌😁

  46. Wayne Gouin on January 1, 2022 at 4:01 pm

About the battery life I too was concerned with the small size as well, however It forced me to consider how much time I was spending on my phone and in a way it forced me to not be on my phone all day like I used to be which I appreciate. 5-6 hours of screen on time should be enough as that is a quarter of an entire day.

  47. robixu on January 1, 2022 at 4:03 pm

Should i upgrade from my Huawei mate 20 pro to iphone se 2020? Will it be an upgrade or a downgrade?

  48. Krys Clak on January 1, 2022 at 4:04 pm

    You have to talk slowly!

  49. Costin Mihailescu on January 1, 2022 at 4:08 pm

I had an old 6S, and that was the best option for me. Especially because of fingerprint unlock function.
Btw, I don’t play games on phone, and, after one and a half day, still have 40% full battery. 🍺

  50. Katya on January 1, 2022 at 4:09 pm

I got the iPhone 11 switched recently from android to iOS and I love it. I am thinking to get the new SE for my mother ,she is using Samsung S7 if I am not mistaking , I wonder if she would be happier with the iPhone SE 2020
