Just passed with an 87% this really helped me out a lot

  2. Mr Music on October 17, 2021 at 10:22 am

Can you take the exam again if you fail the first time?

UPDATE Sept 2021: 1990 FAA Aircraft Dispatcher just took a surprise test !!
Most of THIS TEST, I just Barely passed (80%) is ALL ABOUT CLASSes of Airspaces. A ridiculous amount.! WHY? IDK. Some frequencies -ATIS (what is a ‘C’ on the chart).? Terrain clearance and THEN what Class AIRSPACE are you in.?> AIRSPACE ! Learn the details.!!! The real ‘DRONE’ questions→ are easily handled. Good luck!

Thank you for Informative video! I am vonfused about your answer to "high density altitude" @ 1:24:10 Wouldn’t high density air increase propeller efficiency? I presume high density air is at lower (high density) altitude while low density air would be thinner at high altitudes. Your answer suggested otherwise I thought.

Thanks, Tony! I passed the test a few years ago and just passed the renewal thanks to your video.

As an FAA Licensed Aircraft Dispatcher for 30 years, This seems like my test, years ago…! Almost overkill, but thanks for the Part 107 update – Drone Test 9/03 ! Confident as hell. THANKS !!! Keep ya posted-

  7. Patrick Hoesly on October 17, 2021 at 10:30 am

Latitude and longitude is reversed. Lat runs East West. Long runs North South

  8. Steve LaBranche on October 17, 2021 at 10:32 am

I question the maintenance and flight logs, why? Maintenance!? I’ve been flying my Mavic 2P, straight out of the box, for about 2.5 years. Haven’t done or repaired anything to drone, other then pre-flight inspection of drone, props etc. What’s there to log? As for flight logs, they are automatically collected by the UAS. Much more accurate than Icould write in a note book. Just my 2cents.

Random comment but I love your hair hha

  10. Dane Schuler on October 17, 2021 at 10:32 am

Is this still up to date with the current test?

Thank you so much Tony for the tutorial! 🙂

  12. Fred Kreider on October 17, 2021 at 10:34 am

I think there is a math error at 9:12 in the video. Clouds at 600′. Answer spoken says highest flight is 200 feet. It seems like it should be 100′. 600 – 500. The example a few seconds later is 800′ – 500′ = 300′ is the highest you can fly.

Any relation to Nortrup Grumman Aircraft.? Thanks.🔥🎩💯

  14. Jonathan Lane on October 17, 2021 at 10:38 am

I originally purchased the drone pilot course and found it to be extremely boring and overly long/drawn out. This video hands down was a life saver because he explains all the important things and does it in a way where it’s straight to the point which is the preferred method how I learn. Thanks to,Tony, I made an 86 today and that’s after watching this entire video only once. I would recommend watching this a couple of times if you’re looking to get your license and really get familiar with the sectional charts. If you get this down, you will pass with no problem!

  15. Barry Wasserman on October 17, 2021 at 10:38 am

Yes top speed is 100 mph but on the test it’s also represented as 87 knots which is really important because sometimes there is no 100 mile per hour answer, yes I’m still here:)

  16. Cody on October 17, 2021 at 10:38 am

THANK YOU Tony and Chelsea!!!!!!! I just passed my FAA Part 107 today!!!

  17. M C on October 17, 2021 at 10:38 am

  18. Joshua Wilson on October 17, 2021 at 10:39 am

What’s the best drone on the market right now for taking aerial photos for big companies say power lines

  19. CaptianFluffy100 on October 17, 2021 at 10:41 am

Took my exam yesterday, passed with a 88%. This video is a bit out of date, but most of what you need to know is in this video. My suggestion is to people who are going for there part 107 exam is to watch some Pilot Institute videos to get up to data with 2021.

  20. Bishnuprasad Adhikari on October 17, 2021 at 10:42 am

    Wonderful coverage.

  23. Michael Sowden on October 17, 2021 at 10:48 am

At 50 mins 50 secs into video notice where he repeatedly says Longitude goes east and west and Latitude goes north and south.
The LINES of Longitude run north-south and are used to MEASURE east and west.
    The inverse for Latitude.
The lines GO one way and are uses to MEASURE perpendicular to themselves the other way.

  24. Jo Jo on October 17, 2021 at 10:48 am

Good informational video…just a quick correction @ 39:33 Obstruction less than1000 feet AGL near Boston not mountain peaks. Inverted V with dot.

  25. Robert DeAngelo on October 17, 2021 at 10:48 am

Your videos are very informative and helpful. I am planning taking the test for my test for commercially flying drones. However, I can’t seem to find the sample test that you talk about in your video. Where and how do I access the test?

  26. Gerrad Reynolds on October 17, 2021 at 10:53 am

this test looks a lot easier knowing they give you the answers

  27. Barry Wasserman on October 17, 2021 at 10:53 am

I appreciate all the work you put in this but you are giving out wrong information and keep making mistakes. For instance if the cloud cover is at 300 feet you cannot fly! Duh anybody knows that. Now I am forced to not watch your video because I’m afraid of what else you might tell me that’s wrong.

  28. Illinois Medical Cannabis Review on October 17, 2021 at 10:53 am

25:30ish Univorm(Uniform) other than that great video.

  29. Grant Watson on October 17, 2021 at 10:53 am

Where is the link to the practice test? I’m looking through the description, and I only see a link to the study guide.

  32. Ethan Corsbie on October 17, 2021 at 10:54 am

Just wanted to say thank you Tony Northrop… using ur study guide and taking practice exams you helped me pass my Part 107!! Thanks for a great video!

  33. Jennah Huey on October 17, 2021 at 10:58 am

I am not good at math but did he make a mistake in the first part talking about the cloud ceiling at 600 feet, so 500 feet below it would mean you fly 200 feet? That doesn’t make sense to me… Wouldn’t it be 100 feet?

  34. akwild1 on October 17, 2021 at 10:59 am

Thank you for this course. You’re an excellent instructor who has taught me a lot about my Sony cameras, and how to pass the 107 test.

  35. J M on October 17, 2021 at 10:59 am

Great video sir! thank you. This was more informative, and better put together than the damn course I paid for!! You are appreciated my friend.

  36. Nappy FPV on October 17, 2021 at 11:00 am

I just passed mine today. I watched this video twice and took notes once. This is the only thing I did. I got a 75%. I’m pretty happy about it

  37. EPIC J FPV on October 17, 2021 at 11:04 am

Just passed with a 83% watched this and took some practice test. It was harder than I anticipated and would tell anyone that’s going to take it to get into the actual FAA study guide. I was sweating the entire test. Thank you so much for taking the time to post this!

  38. Alex H on October 17, 2021 at 11:05 am

Thanks for taking the time to teach us. It was very useful.

  39. Mr Music on October 17, 2021 at 11:08 am

Seems like FAA is not charging for the test but the test centers are charging $175, that’s a ripoff.

  40. Jeffrey Hart on October 17, 2021 at 11:09 am

    This video is amazing, thanks!

Passed my part 107 in Aug of 2021 with a 91%. Couldn’t have done it without you!

Thank you! I watched the course, took notes, reviewed notes prior to test, and got a 75%!!
The section regarding the weird weather codes and the whole maps thing is more than 50% of the test so get a good hang of it

Thank you man! Just wanted to share how much you helped me

  44. wikiwikiphoto on October 17, 2021 at 11:13 am

This video is outdated and will not help you with the new version of the test.
