Best TV for Xbox Series X Gaming + Winning TV Giveaway!
We choose the best TV for Xbox Series X next-gen console gaming in 2020, by comparing the LG CX, the Samsung Q90T & Sony XH90 (also marketed as the BRAVIA X900H in the USA) in an actual side-by-side comparison. Topics covered include input lag, contrast performance, motion smoothness & clarity, screen uniformity, image retention, Dolby Vision, HGIG, as well as various HDMI 2.1 gaming features such as ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode), VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) and 4K@120Hz support.
Our review samples are all 55 inches in screen size, namely the LG OLED55CX, the Samsung QE55Q90T, and the Sony KD-55XH9005.

The LG just looks green :-/
Wowser!
Mai appka sara video dekhta hu like v karta hu
Samsung Qled black sucks.
I don’t know if it’s fair to compare bravia xh90 to 90t for example. The price difference is massive, 90t is samsung flagship led, xh90 lays in strong middle. They are from a completely different price range, at least in my country. More fair would be xh95 but doesn’t have hdmi 2.1 sadly.
βAlso for the moneyβ
Awesome review Bro where is the Tip Jar? I’m getting that LG CX, done deal…. lol
Thanks
The CX is the best clearly!
Hello,
Do you know what is the best choice in 43" for PS5 ?
50hz or 100hz native ?
LG 43nano79 / Sony 43HX8096 or 8505 ?
Thank you so much π
Lg CX has an ugly blue filter on the image. Just no.
i honestly love this channel so much! thank you for the amazing and informative content!!!!
Why does the OLED seems to display colors with a certain greenish tone? Its quite apparent on the yellow paint if the car not being as warm/orange but more green based as well as the floor where it looks more grey/blue vs grey/green on the LG.
Is this inherent to OLED or a matter of calibration? Ot does seem to affect all of the colors in terms of tone and hue.
Hey Vincent, I want to buy the CX and would like to support your channel. But I live in Germany. Do you have ref-link or anything that works in Europe?
Hello guys!
I identified a problem with the Lg-C9 and would like help from you.
When I play Need For Speed ββHeat (30fps) or Sonic Genrations (30fps) just access the game map in the case of Need or run horizontally on the Sonic phase selection screen that you can see exactly what I’m talking about. The image when it flows horizontally (even with all the video functions turned on) there is a horrible effect of trail / lack of smoothness. However, if I leave low latency mode (game) and turn on motion plus, everything is perfectly smooth and with perfect display. Why does this happen in some games? This issue also happens on Forza Horzon 4 when viewed on Xbox One X in 30 fps mode.
Why is the LG CX image much more green than the others?
Is it just me or do the floor look green on the LG and grey on the other two?
I’m not paying $2,800 australian for the lg when I can pick the Sony up for under $1,800
Gosh the whites on the lg Cx are basically gray. It’s awful
Does anyone know if the LG CX 48 inch model has the same anti-reflective glare coating on it as the 55 inch model of the LG CX.
What about that 40Ggbps limit on HDMi thruput..not really future proof eh.
How can I fix the local dimming flickering on my LG sm9000 tv? Yes I can turn it off but the black levels are terrible then
Vincent since LG has only one earc. Is it possible to have my sonos arc connected to the earc input and still get Dolby visiΓ³n and 4k@120 on my Xbox Series X using the other hdmi 2.1 inputs?
Why does lg cx picture looks significantly more blue compared to other two? Are these uncalibrated out of the box results?
LG
This giveaway doesn’t apply to me, but I think it’s great.
Too bad they dont ship to US .
They can’t just make a TV that that has and support everything?!? So annoying…
instant thumbs up for the money joke 1 min in, keep em coming !! I also subbed
Is just me or SONY since at video beginning has the BEST PICTURE?
If Sony he will resolve panel issues with suck/dead pixels, it will bethe best TV on market
SONY XH90π BETTER
SONY π
I’ve been getting the slow rolling scan lines on my Q90T while in HDR Game Mode, it’s definitely a distraction. Looking online the workaround appears to be to disable VRR on the XBSX. I’ve done that for now but hoping you’ll tip us off if Samsung roll out a fix π
Samsung q80t VRR IN GAME MODE BLACK CRUSHED too bad π it’s happened as well with my LC CX 55, I got both with the same problem . My q80t has already firmware 1403. In my PC Gaming with AMD RX 5700 XT IS more Aggressive.
Would you recommend the Sony X900H if I didn’t want OLED for the Xbox Series X? I’ve promised a family member that I’ll be giving them my current TV come December and thus I’ll need to invest. The Samsung Q80 and Sony X900 are more within my budget and I’m not a fan of OLED in general. I’m leaning towards the Sony simply because it has the Dolby Vision and I’ve heard great things about it for the Series X. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance all.
An awesome video, Vincent.πππ
Cheers to you, my man!π»
So if i dont want oled i should prefer sony or samsung above? and what about the bluriness at 120 and vrr for sony?
I’m so glad I discovered Vincent on youtube while shopping for a new Xbox Series X TV.
I bought the Sony 65" (X90CH, same as the X900H and XH90) from Costco for under $1000. It looks AWESOME with the PS5, and will be better when they update the firmware to support VRR. Even without VRR, games like Demon’s Souls and Spiderman run at a locked 30 or 60fps, so VRR isn’t even that big of a deal right now. Great set for the money, and anyone who owns it will NOT be disappointed!
Please show me the best settings for games on TV Samsung QE65q80T
Can you please do a video on how to calibrate a q90 for best for games please π
The colour on the LG looks overly green. Is that due to calibration or can it be made to look like the others?
In my eyes it looks really poor for colour accuracy
Can anybody recommend a AV-Reciever where i don’t get audio lag with this setup: XboxSX–>TV (in my case LG Oled BX)–>AV-Reciever ?? Don’t know who is causing the lag but with all bitstreamformats I’m getting audio lag. π No audiolag if i use extractor but than I’m loosing hdmi 2.1 advantages like 120hz/VRR
Also for the money.excellent
I have the cx and a xbsx, from this video and from my own experience with the same set up i notice a green tint to the overall image, can you see this as well ?
"And also for the money" – ha ha !!
If i choose the dolby vision option on the xh90 does it still have native 4k 60 hz ?
You got burn in to happen in 20 seconds??? Am I missing something?? I know you said it’s only temporary burn in but… If it can happen quickly I would personally say that TV is useless for the majority of people and basically every single gamer?
LG CX is downgrade from C9
People still buy LCD garbage like the Samsung?
