Great content Sir. This question is un related. You did a video in relation to hdmi cable arc etc. I have a Sony amp str dn 1080 7.2. I have a 65 inch samsung mu9000 tv. I plug all inputs vis the arc port. Anytime i want to play my ps4 pro, the picture comes on for a second or 2 then starts to blink . It seems like a hand shaking issue. i have approached Samsung and Sony but they gave the run-around. While the amp works really great, I have had to send the sound from tv to amp via optical lead only because of the blinking screen while plugged vis arc port. Can you shed any light on this . Thank you very much in advance

    Hisense H8G: $1,250

    Vizio P Quantum X: $1,500
    Sony 900H: $2,000

Is it not better to invest in good window blinds and don’t worry about that? 😉

  4. J Y on April 26, 2021 at 5:30 am

The 900h is doing surprisingly well, it doesn’t have the rainbow and it’s not as intense as the oleds

  5. blk9ight23 on April 26, 2021 at 5:30 am

This was very helpful! I think the X900H was most acceptable, but all will have some level of annoying glare. I think I’ll just save myself ~$1000 focusing my decision on glare and look more on picture sharpness and features. I have my balcony door (with floor to ceiling windows) perpendicular to my TV. So my biggest issue is natural sunlight in the daytime hours (all else is fine). Any rec’s? Otherwise, I will have to get up and close the blinds in the AM (aint nobody got time for that) : /

The LG CX always seems to be like a literal mirror for any light source but on places like RTINGS it rates very well for anti-glare (9.3/10) which baffles me. I finally ordered my TV and chose the LG CX, overall I think it will probably be the best experience (for me and my gaming needs), but I have to admit the glare does bug me. I have pretty bright room during the day, my curtain is white and sunlight seems to shine straight through it. I can obviously switch off my house light if need be for evening viewing, but worst case scenario when my TV arrives, if this glare is a problem for me I’ll just go buy blackout curtains/blinds and solve that problem. Still interesting to see though, I think the Sony X900H does a great job on anti-glare.

lol the LG and vizio is basically a mirror.

  19. Rick Holden on April 26, 2021 at 5:46 am

I didn’t think glare would be such a big deal to I bought a Sony A8H. Great TV, but unwatchable during the day.

  20. RFR Mac on April 26, 2021 at 5:46 am

My least favorite is the Samsung Q900TS. That rainbow effect really bothers me.

it seems neither of them have anti glare filters, compate to tv 15 years ago. I think LE32R7 had the best anti glare filter, real filter. no 3D , no anti glare filters nowadays, it looks like a big peace of … and its getting bigger every day.

Is Vizio just copying the flaws of LGs OLED too or are there a technical reason? I’m guessing there just playing to the OLEDs contrast strengths

Fomo I have a unusual question.

Devices…. plug them into the AV receiver and use 1 HDMI cable to connect to the TV/ARC.
Or, plug everything into the TV and use the ARC port to connect to the receiver?

    One issue I run into.
I plug everything into my receiver.
So when I play games, I have to change my TV manually to games mode.
Then when I change over to my Apple TV. I have to manually change my TV back to image processing.
As the TV doesn’t detect the receiver changing ports.

What’s the best method and why?

    Thanks so much.

Also. When listing/discussing TVs would love it if you could throw in the Australian model names also.

  29. Michael Burton on April 26, 2021 at 5:55 am

Hey Fomo, What’s the Best Overall TV 📺 to Have For TV 📺 Watching, Movies 🎥 And Gaming??? Or is There Any that Would Come Close???? Which U Buy or Have Personally, Thanks 😊

  30. Squattingturtle on April 26, 2021 at 5:56 am

My current TV is 32 inch, but i’m looking to upgrade because its 8 years old. Should I just look for a monitor instead? i can’t go lower than 32" though and i’m trying to stay below $1,000. I play games where I really need to notice the frames and minute details.

  31. Dark Ra on April 26, 2021 at 5:57 am

@Stop the FOMO A few years ago I heard some disturbing things about LG OLED panels. That they were prone to image burn-in and that LG would not cover a replacement under warranty. This has given me a good deal of trepidation regarding the company as a whole. Is this an issue to be concerned about when purchasing an OLED panel from LG or anyone else?

  35. Steve Garza on April 26, 2021 at 6:07 am

All these videos are so helpful. Thanks. Any thoughts on Which of these would be good at upscaling 420 content (old tv shows, etc) run from a computer? Also would viewing angles on a newer lcd (say a Sony 900 or 950) be at least as good as my 2009 Sony v5100?

all of them is bugging me out, all new tv’s have a glass front right hmm, some of the older one’s had plastic and was much better at the glare effect
new tv’s reflect anything around you so keep the room dark – also a day time – i do 🙂

  39. Robert Oerter on April 26, 2021 at 6:13 am

Love your reviews. Instead of just putting a number on "Glare" (lookin at you, rtings), you talk about – and show – the trade-offs and differences between sets.

  41. Rad C on April 26, 2021 at 6:14 am

So I find myself wanting to buy better/expensive tv for basic things for my needs. I really need your help! I’m looking at the 900H and Q80T but all I do is IPTV/Netflix cuz cable is to expensive. Is this the right path? Or just go for a cheaper tv if that is all I do.

  42. StormSevens on April 26, 2021 at 6:15 am

Thanks for the video. I would love to go with a OLED but my room is definitely to bright. I was excited for the new Samsung Neo Qleds but the reviews have been pretty bad so far so I’m really not sure what to do. The Sony X900H looked ok in the video and I would choose that over the extra money for the samsung Q9 with all of it’s problems. Thanks again.

  43. TOM684 on April 26, 2021 at 6:15 am

Hi, love your channel. It appears to me that hdmi 2.1 besides sound is mostly about gaming. I am a PC gamer. Could you please explain what nvidia and amd are supposed to supply at their minimum to to this new protocol? Or are new consoles the only one’s to support all TV’s? What features should I expect or not?

  44. Robert Zoppi on April 26, 2021 at 6:15 am

Hi there, can I please ask your advice? I recently purchased the 75 inch TCL six series mini LED. It’s pretty awesome but the eight series mini LED just came on sale from Best Buy for $1499. I’m within the amount of time to return the six series and get the eight series. My question is Should I get the eight series and return the 2020 6 series ? It’s only $100 more for the eight series versus the 2020 TLC six series. Please let me know as soon as possible as I’m trying to make the decision. Thank you so much and I love your reviews

have you ever tried to touch the antiglare samsung screen? many samsung owners claim that it will be ruined just touching it with bare hand or even smooth cloth… is it true?
