Best Nintendo Switch Games For Little Kids | A Dad's Perspective

As a parent myself, I’ve found that these games work pretty well for kids who are under 6 years old. This is my personal pick for what I think are the best Nintendo Switch Games for Little kids. They’re are great games for introducing you kids to video games for the first time. If you’re shopping for a Switch in 2020 this video may help you decide if you should buy a Nintendo switch for as a Christmas present for you children.

If you found this video helpful, give it a thumbs up, let me know if you have any questions about games you’re considering, and share it with someone who is wondering if a Nintendo switch is good for their young family.

How limiting is reading on Animal Crossing for your little one? Do you need to read the text or is it possible to play without reading?

I am planning to "buy my 5 yo son" switch.
So this is actually the video I’m looking for!!

I want to purchase first game that is easy and fun without making my son first game experience become frustrating. Nice job!

Only thing is I wish the games were explained whether or not you have to read or do the characters also speak out loud so you donā€™t have to read

Awesome I just pre-ordered the new MH rise switch and wanted to find out the best games to play with my daughter, shes keen to learn games and is fascinating when I’m playing on my PC loves to climb on my desk and press buttons hahaha she’s 3 so Mario Karts will be an excellent pick, keep up with the good content!

I have a nephew who’s almost seven. Do you think it’s right to make him wait to play E10+ games until he’s 10 or do you think playing a couple of years before is acceptable?

  16. Andrea poĪ¹rĪ¹er on June 20, 2021 at 1:42 am

Thank you, this helped me decide for Christmas shopping. We got our 6 year old a switch and since sheā€™s not reading very well yet I wasnā€™t sure which games she would be able to enjoy solo. Definitely getting Mario cart for family fun. I was also looking at luigiā€™s haunted mansion if anyone has any insight?

Good choice of games Iā€™m thinking of getting PokĆ©mon Shield and Caption Toad Treasure Tracker for myself and my brother and my parents so we can all play the games tg and for my friends too so they donā€™t get bored at my house. like I also have PokĆ©mon Sword, Letā€™s Go Eevee and Letā€™s Go Pikachu, NES and SNES on my switch

Super Mario 3d world and Mario Kart! My niece and nephew (5 & 6) had never played any video games, and they instantly LOVED both of these games. They’re both games you can enjoy playing with them and help them along, and they both have features that will help younger kids who don’t know what they’re doing to not have to feel like they’re failing.

  21. Lunchbox Ben on June 20, 2021 at 1:49 am

Really well put together video. My little nieces already got most of these. I kind of hate paying $60 for Odyssey for my 9yo and 3yo nieces, especially since they have American Girl dolls and each just got a Switch and new iPad from their other grandma when I felt lucky to get food when I was little. They already got Mario Kart and Animal Crossing.

I’m kind of thinking about a couple fun ones, maybe something cute for my little niece that’s more her spee, since she has her own Switch with all the accessories already. Maybe Overcooked 2? It’s $12.49 from Nintendo directly, right now. I’m just not into kid’s games.

  22. Monkieplayz on June 20, 2021 at 1:49 am

Have you tried any of the games targeted for younger kids like the paw patrol game? I just got a switch lite for my three year old daughter. She loves paw patrol but I know how bad tv show/movie based games can be.

Hello, so your channel was the first recommended on the TV when i searched autism friendly games for the switch, so i had to log onto YouTube to say how amazing your suggestions are!! (The TV here doesn’t let you like or comment, just veiw the content) I am defo going to buy the mario cart and animal crossing for my youngest boy, they seem quite relaxed and not overly stimulating. Thank you so so much for this!!!
