what’s a cell phone? Just kidding. I am very old but now have a better plan than my cool daughters. The old guy wins! It is driving them nuts.

Are there any setting I can adjust to speed up data on my Samsung? I live where there are no major internet providers, only viastat. Ugh. I use my phone as mobile hotspot on AT&T w/ 100GB per month for TV, printer, etc. Usually have 3-4 bars but still slow on some apps. Yes, I will move soon, lease up in MAR. I asked before moving in and was led to believe internet was available. ๐Ÿ˜”

I use 80 gb of data per month. My wife uses 130. Safe to say I need unlimited

As an Xfinity internet customer I get a really good deal with Xfinity Mobile which operates on the Verizon service so I get great reception coverage but if I ever left my service that Verizon service you just mentioned would also be a good deal.

I got a question is using your phone while charging bad for the battery or will effect it long term or short term?

  8. Edgardo Malave on February 2, 2021 at 9:14 pm

I don’t understand why Visible is not being discussed at all. For $40 you get unlimited LTE data on the Verizon network ($25 if you do Party Pay) Taxes and Fees included and the same priority level (speeds and call reliability in simple terms) as Verizon’s own Prepaid. Phone selection on Visible is weak but any unlocked device will do and you can get those cheaper nowadays.

I prefer Verizon Postpaid for reliability, but if I needed to save and get a good value out of it I’ll do Visible.

Keep in mind that the Verizon 5 GB Prepaid Plan is not for the new iPhone 12. The only way around it is to buy it outright from apple as unlocked then change the plan.

  17. Gary Fabian on February 2, 2021 at 9:28 pm

What do you think about the boost $35 10gb plan & the google fi $20 plus $10/gb data plan?? I live in Chicago and on boost mobile now and hardly use any data & mostly just using wifi in quarantining but even before quarantine I don’t think I’ve ever used that much data, I wasn’t tracking it but I don’t think I ever went over my limit and been thinking of switching to google fi for $20 plus $10/gb data plan when I came across & watched your video while searching for the cheapest phone plans.

Cell phone plans in the the UK are so different. Iโ€™m on Vodafone ukโ€™s unlimited max plan for ยฃ30 which is around $40 US and I get truly unlimited data with 5G included at full speed and can use as much data as I want without getting slowed down, that goes for the hotspot too. I get LTE speeds of over 100 mbps in my local area!

  27. Senor Dockman on February 2, 2021 at 9:42 pm

Guess that I will switch soon to one of these.

  28. MpP on February 2, 2021 at 9:42 pm

You guys have a good channel. Think about doing a video review of customer service for cell phone carriers. I wonder if my carrier has anyone at all answering calls.

  29. James Norton on February 2, 2021 at 9:46 pm

I switched to the Verizon 5GB prepaid plan in August this year and absolutely love it . The main reason is I have coverage everywhere I go, including rural areas, which is huge for me, and when I hit the 10th month, my price will be $25.00 per line. One other thing, I have 3 lines on my plan and each line has 5GB, we are not sharing data, and if a line goes over 5GB, it still has unlimited data just at a slower speed. Thanks guys for the great videos on the different plans, you are the reason my family switched to the Verizon 5GB prepaid plan.

Cell plan is so much better with more carriers and cheaper in USA. So expensive in Canada.
