Would this video card work for just doing any Dyna photography and videography? MSI Computer Video Graphic Cards GeForce GTX 1050 TI GAMING X 4G, 4GB https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MA62JSZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_yYDaGb1P7BEA0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I own 2 identical machines, unless for the graphics card, the one with a GeForce 780 runs Adobe Premiere really fast, but the one with an old AMD card is so slow that it´s almost impossible to use on the same project. CPUs are identical and runs at the same clock, and SSDs also.

Great video. I am looking to build a pc for photo editing but also require a USB type C port. What would you suggest for a motherboard to suit this requirement? Thanks.

  4. Rafael Alves on May 22, 2021 at 4:24 am

my dream pc even in 2020 but maybe with a ryzen now

  5. hallercory on May 22, 2021 at 4:25 am

Man, this felt like a presentation from a student who has to read their PowerPoint because they didn’t study.

  6. Saif Khan on May 22, 2021 at 4:27 am

New to this whole PC build thing. I am in marketing and do a lot of content creating in Photoshop/illustrator. I sometimes venture into video editing, but very minimal. I have decided to go with a i7-8500k. What I am having a hard time deciding is which motherboard to go with. This will be a minimal build. If you have any mini-itx or macro-atx recommendations that are < $200~ would be very helpful.

  8. Emmanuel Gallardo on May 22, 2021 at 4:30 am

In just $1000 i got a ryzen 7 2700 with nvme ssd around 256gb and 1tb of hdd. And rx580 8gb. That intel build is very expensive thou

  9. Manuel Figueroa III on May 22, 2021 at 4:31 am

Thanks I could do the built what worries me is the programming. Great video.

  10. Shawn Cope on May 22, 2021 at 4:33 am

Wouldnt ram go in a1 b1 starting farthest from the cpu? Not familiar with this Mobo though

  11. The Rookie Fisherman on May 22, 2021 at 4:34 am

Keep up the good work. You are the only one that will build a budget desktop for people that can’t afford those expensive builds and still it will do the job however I think that a good graphics card comes in play in the use of the 4K monitors. I would love to see you do some editing on those 4K and see if all the tools on Photoshop/Lightroom will work. THANKS

  12. Callum Thurgar on May 22, 2021 at 4:36 am

Love this video, looks like a good system, Lee/Patrick, if your reading this you might just want to make a quick correction on the blog post, motherboard is in as A390A rather than Z390A, Love the channel and keep it up

Seriously ?! Is that you call an affordable PC for video editing and photographer ?! So why put an expansive 500 dollars GPU ?! No need of that ! Just a basic GPU card and will the money you save on it, you put an I7 or I9 ! Power Supply at 100 dollars ?! Affordable ?! It’s a joke ! You can find same power for PSU (600/700W) for 50-60 dollars ! Case is okay … Ram is okay, Motherboard is okay (seems good choice for the price but we can save money for model sell to 70-80 dollars … but it’s okay !) but SSD at 1TB for more 100 dollars ?! NO WAY ! A little 256Go SSD (50 dollars) to install OS and some program, you just have the place to made your work (video editing/photo) but for stocking data, an old good HDD at 2TB or more is good and really affordable today ! The most important thing for video editing / photographer is CPU POWER ! And it’s prove that AMD with high end Ryzen made a great work ! No need of a good GPU for that, only if you want to play in 1440P120 in ultra or 4K ! Save money for all the rest but put the max you can on CPU/RAM with good motherboard and you can have a good affordable PC for that ! But here there are too many parts we don’t need or are too high price ! Just my poor opinion ! Sorry for my horrible english !

I don’t think this computer would be good for adobe premiere pro
    Specs I recommend
    -Core i7 9700k
    -Water cooled CPU
    -750w power supply

everything else is fine. This should be a $1800 build if you want to add $600 but, good specs that will last a couple of years is a quality computer.

  19. Dihelson Mendonca on May 22, 2021 at 4:45 am

*PLEASE HELP* – Can someone tell me if I use an AMD 3900x or even a 3950x ( 16 core CPU ), the difference in performance for Adobe Premiere and After Effects ( Scrubbing and render time ) would be huge, or just a little better with the same GPU card or even with an RTX 2080 ? We know that Adobe Premiere depends much of Cuda Cores, and RTX 2080ti has the double cuda cores from 2080 not TI. So, what do you think ? Would it be a huge difference in performance changing from this CPU to an AMD cpu ? I´d like to build the best Adobe Premiere and After Effects machine possible. I work with video creation. Thanks !

  20. Dihelson Mendonca on May 22, 2021 at 4:46 am

I saw in many reviews that multiple cores, above 6 cores, do almost nothing for Adobe Premiere, nor above 32Gb ram also. But AP ( Adobe Premiere ) likes good GeForce cards due to the Cuda cores and CPU clock high speeds. So, you can really use an old computer. My 6 year old computer 4 core i7 2600k @ 4.6Ghz is doing really fine on Adobe Premiere.

  22. Mason J. McFadden on May 22, 2021 at 4:46 am

“We never max out at 32gbs of ram” like a bare minimum. Then Linus does so much more on16gb

  23. tom martin on May 22, 2021 at 4:50 am

Where did you get the magnetic card reader? Thank you!

  24. BarryBarryPix on May 22, 2021 at 4:51 am

If you selected a Ryzen 5 3600 you can save $55 plus what ever the MB costs, plus better specs. You can get a GTX 1070 for about $200 on craigslist, or you could get a 1660 Super which is slightly faster and much better for $30 more.

  30. Tom K on May 22, 2021 at 4:57 am

    super helpful, thanks guys

    hello

  35. Daniel Stewart on May 22, 2021 at 5:04 am

I still find it strange now that GPU acceleration is much more common in photo and video editing software and yet the recommended/supported cards are designed for gaming not workstation cards which are designed for productivity. That always struck me as weird.

  36. Maafy Blacking on May 22, 2021 at 5:04 am

you put the cpu cooler the wrong way bro…funny

    Can i use a I7 processor instead of a I5?

  41. Daniel O on May 22, 2021 at 5:08 am

CPU single core performance is almost AS important as multi core performance for creators as some processes/effects are tied to single core performance and can’t take advantage of a 10, 12, 16 core setup. So, faster clocked 6-core 4.6 is more efficient than 8-core at 3.8 I believe!

This is a newb question – I can buy a pc for this amount. I’m guessing that the difference is that I can continue upgrading my gear over the years bit by bit?m for way less instead of just forming out £1200 for a Mac every 7?

Am i right in thinking the 212 evo connector plugs into CPU fan 1 at the top of the 390 motherboard. Please help.
