Lol I’ve been looking around for a while now at companies like Media Storm, Boxx, and Origin but I’m still as confused as ever. 😕What would you recommend for someone who does a little of everything? Most of the prebuilt stuff is listed for a specific niche like video editing, 3D modeling, rendering/vfx, etc. I want a PC that has a nice balance to do all of these tasks.

I’m jumping around from the majority of the Adobe suite doing anything from video editing, motion graphics, and general design to 3D, animation, vfx’s, and compositing in C4D, Houdini, Nuke, and Blender. I don’t care about gaming. This will be a workstation. As a whole I want it to be capable of being upgraded dramatically in the future. I’d like to keep it under 3k to start with but the starting core components need to count. I’m currently on an older iMac and while I love working in the operating system, I can’t afford to stay with them and upgrade to get something as customizable as the Mac Pro 😭

  17. Hayabusa TK on January 26, 2021 at 8:35 pm

I’ve been told that with pre-builds, they usually half ass the motherboard and give you f-all RAM for the price your paying?

  18. Art Last on January 26, 2021 at 8:35 pm

Lets be truthful , the editing software is what kills you..

  19. B Moodi on January 26, 2021 at 8:37 pm

I have a $2,000 budget for a 4K video editing workstation/PC. What do you recommend? Pre-built…I’m afraid of building my own. Thanks for all your videos…very helpful.

  25. Candace Banks on January 26, 2021 at 8:40 pm

Would you recommend the Hp Pc for Gaming and editing? But also last long

  26. Israel Baldago on January 26, 2021 at 8:42 pm

Love this Matt – but also your “build your own” do you think it’s worth getting separate sound cards as well?

  27. JoeyNDot on January 26, 2021 at 8:42 pm

Do you think the difference between the ryzen 5 3600 (6-core) and ryzen 7 3700 (8-core) is worth ~$100? Im torn btwn which to buy

  28. MontyVisuals on January 26, 2021 at 8:42 pm

Quick question with the your 650 pc build can it handle pro res files

  29. Shawn Abbott on January 26, 2021 at 8:42 pm

When you build your own don’t you have to pay for the Windows operating system in that case it wouldn’t be $650 would it

  30. SG Productions on January 26, 2021 at 8:43 pm

  31. L.A. TIMEZ on January 26, 2021 at 8:44 pm

    These include windows? Thx

  32. Moms Awaken on January 26, 2021 at 8:45 pm

Can you do an update RIGHT NOW for Black Friday deals? The ones you recommended are no longer available, and most stores are doing Black Friday pricing now, due to Covid. I’d love to see one!

  33. Boise Camera Club on January 26, 2021 at 8:52 pm

I like the power of these gaming desktops but don’t need the disco lightshow many come with. For example, the Cyberpower lineup seems to be a pretty good deal, but I don’t see an option for a plain black box with no side window or internal lights. Could omitting the "flash" help whittle off a few bucks for those of us who think the "show" is on the monitor, not the PC box. I do photo editing, no games, so while I like the power of some of these PC, the lights are more a distraction than anything.

  34. Creative Ramy on January 26, 2021 at 8:52 pm

I’ve got 15gb of ram and when I check my work in resolve with 4k footage on a 1080p timeline I’m left with 50-80mb of ram, I don’t think 16gb of ram is the way to go you’ll need a minimum of 32 if you want less hassles and even go to 64gig for the sweet spot just incase to future proof yourself

  35. Gon Yahalomi on January 26, 2021 at 8:53 pm

Hey Matt! Most of the links in the description link me into amazon’s home page, not sure if thats because the product isnt available in my country, or because the links may be broken?
Also, unfortuantely can’t find the video you referenced at the start in the description box – would love to see it, sorry if thats my mistake for not finding it!

  36. SimpleGamer XO on January 26, 2021 at 8:54 pm

can you make a bet prebuilt gaming pc for the price? pleaseeeee

  37. Marty Lau on January 26, 2021 at 8:56 pm

Thanks! Been thinking of either buying a pre-built pc or upgrading a existing one that I custom built a few years ago. Looking to build something for gaming, streaming, and somewhat future proof for a few years and be able to do VR.

  38. Heyy Blitz on January 26, 2021 at 8:59 pm

This is just what I needed. I love you so much buddy. Thank you

  39. Juan Duran on January 26, 2021 at 9:01 pm

The 750 model from best buy is sold out matt 😒

  40. Wheelchair Tony on January 26, 2021 at 9:03 pm

Hi Matt and Youtubers, Sweet vids. Can you please do a video about 3d rendering like twinmotion, sketch-up and blender, atx, full tower, that has no rgb, glass panels and no gaming, future proof too. Many thanks.

  41. TruthisBeauty2007 on January 26, 2021 at 9:03 pm

Thanks for all your advice! I’m definitely shy about building my own and haven’t a clue which components to look for these days. Have an old Dell XPS which always gave me trouble, so I am curious, however, what do you think about Macs? Also, have been using a PC at the library with more power but have had a lot of trouble with Adobe Premiere too, which REALLY doesn’t like H264 footage, so I’m curious: have you ever used Final Cut Pro?

  42. Shelton Johnson on January 26, 2021 at 9:04 pm

The $750 option is out of stock and will these options perform well for 4K raw?

  43. King on January 26, 2021 at 9:05 pm

I have built a PC on your from one of your other videos you use a gtx1060 I have already got a gtx 970 which would be faster as the 970 as more cuda cores?

  44. ALDOUS PHOTO on January 26, 2021 at 9:07 pm

Hey Matt! Is there anyway you could post a couple links to some PC options for non-budget minded buyers. Would love the best of the best options. Thanks so much man! #ballout

  45. GWM-BTD Battles, Agar.Io and more! on January 26, 2021 at 9:08 pm

Problem with pre built is that they don’t have dual memory! So make sure to get 16gb of ram folks.

  46. Luis Diaz on January 26, 2021 at 9:08 pm

Can you recommend an already-built video editing beast for under $2500 dollars?

  47. Tom Smarch on January 26, 2021 at 9:09 pm

I just added up the parts list from your $1400 build your own and the parts are more expensive, like over $1600.00. Still trying to figure this out. Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals for a powerful laptop or desktop were not that great.

  48. Jerry Nieves on January 26, 2021 at 9:10 pm

  49. Desert Chameleon on January 26, 2021 at 9:11 pm
