Watch on an HDR compatible device or screen if you can! With our early Xbox Series X preview, we wanted to show as many games as we can running on the system, so here’s a look at a bunch of titles in a 4K 60 FPS HDR video!
Note: Looks like I made a mistake during my research for this video, Red Dead 2 runs locked at 4k resolution on One X and did not make use of dynamic resolution scaling.

How can i activate 60fps on control ultimate edition? My xbox series x only runs it at 30fps
Question… I have the Series X and have a large amount of back-compat games on an external USB 3.0 HDD. Do the HDR, frame rate and resolution improvements not happen if I play them straight from the HDD? Do I have to move them to the internal SSD or the Seagate expansion card I bought? So far I’ve only put the games marked with the “Optimized for Series X/S” logo on the internal or expansion SSD drives and kept everything else on the external HDD. Also, should I upgrade my external HDD to one of the WD Black drives that is 3.2 or is that not necessary? I see online that it says “3.1 or faster” while the Xbox storage screen says “3.0 or faster”. Let me know if this isn’t correct.

So whenever I start a game with HDR my screen automatically gets dimmer. Is it best to leave it on that setting or should I put it on normal brightness?
HDR existed at the hardware level since the mid-2000’s.
That’s bullshit, Rise of the Tomb Raider is still at 30fps on 4k mode.

No hdr out of 4k tho its such a beast why is it only on my 4k TV I get hdr but if I try it on a monitor with hdr that works with the ps4 or ps4 pro both with hdr at 1080p or higher but my xbox series x can’t that is kinda bs and kinda a deal breaker cus ps5 added it in for people it should not be disabled they really like screwing people over

This is a great video but unfortunatelly, AC oddyssey does not run in 60 fps. Of course, this is a current situation but I doubt it will change in the future.

should a logo show/pop up when a game supports auto hdr or just hdr. I know my PS4 Pro does it but not on the series X.

This isn’t an HDR video at all. Watching on iPhone XS Max and has HDR but this video doesn’t. Just saying.

Buying a new $500 dollar system to play old games on. Yeah hmm that makes sense. I grew having an Atari at 5, ever since then there were these things called "exclusives", to really show what the system could do, or how much fun it was. Boy I miss those days.
AC Unity is actually playable at 60fps without the update patch that is and it runs well. Hopefully ubisoft releases an update for it soon for 60fps 4k. The game is clearly capable of it
