    This 2021 year has brought mobile console games like: SpongeBob: BFBB Rehydrated, Titanquest: Legendary Edition, Divinity: Original Sins 2, Trials of Mana, My Time At Portia and finally Alien isolation.

    Even better, Not only are these all PS4 games but Divinity 2 arrived in May showcasing a better specific GPU power idea of Apple iPads since 2018 for a modern RPG game. Alien Isolation, that came in December, is the first survival horror ps4 game to arrive on IPhones/Android following D:OS2 lead.

    If this console tread going D:OS 2 route keeps up, mobile may see a The Witcher 3 or PS5 games within PS5s era!

    My personal two favs of the year are Shattered Pixel Dungeon (the definite and most refined mobile roguelike out there, a few years old already, but new to iOS and still constantly updated) and The Way Home – Cat Adventure, a pretty perfect mobile action RPG indie gem from start to finish that understands mobile phone gaming like only a few others.

    This highlights what an embarresment Apple is when it comes to gaming. 

    Hopefully they will attract some decent developers with the new chips.  

    When I see these Apple Arcade games I go back in time its that old.

    My iPad Pro has become my main gaming device in 2021 (though my Oculus Quest 2 is a close second!)

    I guess I’m just surprised by Apple Arcade titles in the list. Is subscribing to that service up so high that it’s worth just melding iPhone and Apple Arcade games into one category?

    This was an incredible year for iOS gaming, SpongeBob: BfBB, What Remains of Edith Finch, Divinity: Original Sin 2, Alien: Isolation, My Time at Portia, I just can’t believe it that there are so many premium console ports on the App Store, now I just want something like Mafia II or Sleeping Dogs any good open world game, please feral only you can do it
