At least it’s a lot cheaper being a Videophile vs Audiophile. I have an Onkyo amp and Kliptch 5.1.2 set up with my Sony A90J. My sound system is prolly like having a Sanyo or Fisher Price system in the 80’s considering how costly high end audio systems can run up to.
During the Superbowl who cares about picture quality? You’re drunk, it’s noisy, and everyone is talking at the same time. When it comes to movies, if you’re older than 40 most of your favourite movies were never meant to be viewed o9n hi-def. The new tech is for recent movies. Which I’m rarely watching. 50" maximum, medium grade resolution, and stick with name brand TVS. i HAVE A 10 YEAR OLD lg AND IT WORKS FINE FOR MY NEEDS.
See now the 13" bit was stupid funny, It’s GOLD JERRY GOLD!
You’re the man!
Well….shame but my brother will not buy Oled anymore because he had burn in problems with his Oled LG. I would consider buying Oled next time. At this moment i own the Samsung Q7FN 2018 65inch Qled for 3 years now and must say it still is an amazing tv. Especially movies with a lot of color are great to see. Still i do get some blooming tough what is to be expected. Thats a reason when this tv is done i might switch to Oled. But i hope for an hybrid tv with good blacks and high nit rates. Best of both worlds.
I like this guy. I sub recently
i do love your jokes.
Amazing knowledgement.
Thank you 👍👍👍
BURN IN 🔥🔥🔥 SHOULD BE FINE🤔 YOU DON’T FILL ME WITH MUCH CONFIDENCE VINCENT ESPECIALLY AS MY LG OLED SUFFERED REALLY BAD BURN IN JUST AFTER 11 MONTHS 😡
This guy is the godfather of tvs.
FINALLY A CHANNEL WITH STRAIGHT TALK
Thank you for chapters
Now we can share each mistake
bs
Very good nice work thanks for ur time we’ll spent…
Thank you !
Vincent is comedy gold 🤣🤣🤣 I just cant… 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
wait so are you saying that an say 8k 42 inch tv used as a monitor while sitting at a distance of 3-4 feet will have worse picture quality overall than the equivalent in 4k?
Purchased a OLED55C1AUB, then found this YouTube channel. Your the best… learned so much 🤯. In awe of my new LG!
My LG OLED65B7D is suffering heavy burn in after about 3.5 years and I was very careful to avoid it. So if you want to use your TV for more than three years: DON’T BUY AN OLED!
🤣😅🤣
You make it us not easy we need just to know wich Oled tv is the best right now and wich Led tv is the best right now.
This dude is funnier than most comedians
I like your eye glasses.
Hello, I am your fan and I always start my day by checking if there is a new video on your channel … you are doing great !!! but I have a question about the LG GX. and more precisely about the ‘energy saving’ setting.: with ES on medium. does this sea setting prevent oled panel from burning? and the second question: can it cause other problems with the oled panel if you keep this setting for a long time .. Thank you very much for the answer.
I just bought this adapter, it does not work on my LG BX
I’m a high end PC gamer and went for HDMI 2.1 on a Sony x900h.
Dead pan delivery, dry SOH, informative content. Subscribed.
Good info. Very clear and to the point delivery.
I want a 77” OLED but I’m worry of wallet burn
Lol 2 man team 🤣
My first HDTVTest Video, hit subscribe during the "size" montage =P
If you watch CNN for 8 hours for 4-5 years you will be in a nut house!
Thank you!
#5 I agree. My current 43UK6400PLF is supposed to have HDR but HDR looks no different than SDR on the TV.
I’m changing my TV on Black Friday hopefully and I’m looking at a 55" Philips OLED if I can still buy it or a 58" Philips with bi light. I’ve tried looking for reviews on the 58" and I tried finding out what sort of panel and backlight is in the 58" but I com up empty.
My current LG is a 2018 model so I’m adding it’s a 4 year old model (because a 2018 model would usually be released late 2017)
Vincent, I love all your videos!!! Your vids are so incredibly informative and technical yet your dead-pan humour is freaking hilarious 🤣
For point #3, here is why you are WRONG:
* While HDMI 2.0 supports eArc, HDMI 2.1 is still beneficial for eArc (utilized by Dolby Atmos & Surround Sound)
* It is important for 4K HDR content at 60Hz, and the Apple TV 4K documentation even states an HDMI 2.1 input and cable are recommended
* Both the PS5 and Xbox Series X benefit from from HDMI 2.1 for both gaming and 4K HDR content at 60Hz
If anyone’s still here reading… Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT listen to this man when it comes to #3
this man is funny
You said exactly what I am doing, going from 55 to 65" Great info Thanks.
I am 63 and in my personal opinion every person that is not an expert on TVs
should watch your video.
who said Netflix cap bitrate only in specific countries?
subbed once you said "ex professional calibrator"
Hey why don’t you do stand up comedy you’re naturally a comic. You should really give it a try you’re hilarious. Either it’s your writing or natural and whichever it is you’ve got skills.
2 mins all I need…….hahahah
This guy is awesome
I will add some more potential reasons to avoid OLEDs
1/ even if burn in is rare, there is always a wear out which is not consistent – how is it with colors (each color wears in another speed so it must lead to need to calibrate after some time periods ?) and with side areas (black bars with non 16:9 content – very often situation for movie fans)
2/ OLED stutter – is it only 24 frames playback problem or is it visible even on TV broadcasting (50/60Hz) for sensitive people ? Is IFC acceptable solution for this ?
3/ black crush and near black details ? Maximum details and good dark colors are more important as "true" black (black hole due to black crush).
4/ on some comparing videos (OLED vs LED) it seems LED have more nuanced and natural colors
5/ panel reflections
You’re a funny guy! Thank you, I’m enjoying your jokes!
Love your humor 🙂 best… Greetings from Denmark
If you like subtitles, dont choose an LG tv, they’ve moved that switch into a menu a couple of layers in. That just makes no sense unless their having a pop at the hard of hearing.
I phux with you 😂

Wait….i’ve watched these videos for a while, is HDTVTests really 2 DIFFERENT people??? Or is he just being his usual goofy humorous self?
