    Why did you not use a custom water cooling loop for a gaming PC?

    Ignore 4k 120 if you are not a top gamer. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa????

    4k 120 future proofs your TV, which for many people is a 10 year, or more, investment. Furthermore, PS 5 has the capacity for 4k 120. Why would you want to play the ps5 (a $500 investment) without getting the most out of it?

    Which tv is good for both light and dark rooms? If I’m in the living room watching a movie marathon and I start in the afternoon when it’s sun is out and then it gets dark later into the night, which tv will work great? We keep talking about tvs for dark or bright rooms only but never both…Would appreciate it.

    You can’t ignore gaming on a TV. 90% game on a TV. I’m not saying hdmi 2.1 is a requirement. Just don’t ignore that tv’s are used for gaming just as much now days

    Wow. This was way over my head. I just as well listen to Neil DeGrasse Tyson talk about dark matter.
    I just wanted to find a decent 55" TV from my living room. 🙂

    Any recommendations for watching anime? I only plan to watch the news, a few TV shows, and a LOT of anime in a bright room (not sure if glare, but assume yes). I’m currently fixated on the Sony X950H in either 55in or 65in, but it doesn’t have ATSC 3.0 (unlike the X950H) and so I’m planning to wait another year or two for that to be included. Any other suggestions/recommendations?

  18. Jose Melendez on October 5, 2021 at 9:12 am

    Do you think that 80% of people that buy a 4k t.v cares about all those things you talking about. As long the tv looks nice and beautiful and 4k looks nice, who cares about how many zones this or that one has or this one light looks better on this than on that. People just a tv that looks good and they can watch movies and everything else. People don’t even know what in the world you guys are talking about.

  19. Jim Sallas on October 5, 2021 at 9:14 am

    The number of dimming zones is I think a bit of a red herring. More zones is not necessarily better, because also important is how many “gradation steps” are available for each zone. If two steps are fully off or fully on, how many intermediate steps are available? So imagine say 32 zones with 1000 steps between max dark and max bright vs 1000 zones with 100 steps. Which is better ? The total number of permutations is mind boggling and rises exponentially with more zones and more steps. So you need incredible amounts of processing power and awesome software to make it all work. More zones does not automatically mean better.

    It is a good thing to get advice, but if your television are 10 years old any TV will be an improvement, actually, I bought a television only a few days ago replacing my 9 years old one, and the improvement are incredible, I am so pleased, also, the sound are so powerful and great I removed my sorround system, the living room looks bigger and nicer, in addition, my now ‘2020’ television has a much nicer design, an improvement to the living room, so, yes, buy the best option, but if you replace an old TV set any TV will be the right one

    @Stop the FOMO

    What do i do for my eyes? I got sensitive eyes and usually put brightness very low (>20/100 on my work monitor or even 0/20 on my old 2012 samsung Tv).

    What do i need it for:
    => Gaming
    => blu-rays (1080p and 4K)
    => Dark room (YES ! )
    => Best darks and full array dimming

    I was thinking about OLED and HDR but not sure if it would be "Good for Me"
    => OLED pro: best image and darks / con: burn-in with gaming
    => HDS pro: high contrast / con: high brightness

    Maybe VA screens are better for me but not sure

    Help please

  25. Skylancer727 on October 5, 2021 at 9:16 am

    Technically you can still get the advantages of HDMI 2.1 with as low as a 3060 as even my 1080 can hit 4K 120hz on games. It’s just not the newest games on the market other than twitch shooters.

  26. axous80 on October 5, 2021 at 9:17 am

    Hi, thanks for the video, I have a question, I have LG OLED E6 65” and I’m very happy with it, however now with new console generation coming up should I upgrade to LG CX 65” for ps5 and xb series x or should I wait to new 2021 or My E6 is still good for games?
    I use my tv for almost everything; Netflix, sports and gaming

  29. jay446944 on October 5, 2021 at 9:18 am

    I have a 3K limit to get a 65inch TV and a Soundbar. Im replacing my 50inch Pioneer Elite plasma (that worked like a champ and still has better pic quality than most TV’s) and Pioneer Elite receiver and tower surround system. I want a simple bullet proof system with an emphasis on hearing dialogue without having to turn the TV way up. Any suggestions? I’m leaning Sony TV but does that mean I should pair it with a Sony Soundbar?

    I need your advise, I cannot make decision for Gaming Tv and for that I need your help.
    Should I go for q90t or X900H?

  35. John Hunt on October 5, 2021 at 9:24 am

    I really love your content as a whole but I feel like we are getting the same info over and over again. It would be cool if you did some reviews of products like streaming devices, the new Chromecast is a good one. Or maybe took a look at some picture quality comparisons between wifi and wired streaming etc.

    Could you please make your environment a little bit more bight? I don’t mean as bright as white, maybe just another indirect lighting source would be sufficient to improve it and make it more pleasant to watch. Thanks!

  40. Flowcomotion on October 5, 2021 at 9:27 am

    Hi STFOMO! Love the content. I have been watching all your videos to make an educated TV choice (paralysis by analisys now).

    My plan is to upgrade TV (long overdue) so I can enjoy high quality gaming for the PS5 and movie watching. I have been waiting for Black Friday deals here in New Zealand to see which model would win in terms of value (looking for medium price range, for 4k HDR over 120fps).

    Following your recent advice is I need to wait until the TV have been tested on next Gen but I’m worried I will miss out on the black Friday sales. Do I jump the gun and try get a good deal now only to be dissapointed when the Tv doesn’t perform with the next Gen consoles ? Or is this something that a firmware update could fix?

  41. Raitzi on October 5, 2021 at 9:27 am

    I wait for reviews. No need for other tips.

    What about the 2019 LG C9? That TV is bomb diggity

  50. Richard Kidd on October 5, 2021 at 9:41 am

    Ok now that I’m more confused lol, I watch all sorts of content, Netflix, Disney, YouTube. Right now I have the Hisense H78G 75 INCH and this room is bug and bright but no glaring issues really.
    I also will game abit on it but not worried about pro gaming at all.
    I thought I had it down to the H9Q bit now I’m really thinking a Sony, either the X800H or the X900H..
    They have dropped in price, my old TV was an LG and paid a small fortune for it about 8 years back.

    Could someone please help me out lol
