    Jet Set Radio????

  3. Matheus Curi on April 16, 2021 at 1:23 am

I don’t know why you chose the blocky Tekken 3 instead of the amazingly well aged Soul Calibur.

  4. Hustle 2 Muscle on April 16, 2021 at 1:23 am

Ahhhhh, have we forgotten Killer Instinct for the SNES as a honorable mention lol

  5. superswag 98 on April 16, 2021 at 1:24 am

You gonna make the Final Fantasy VII fandom real mad for not featuring FFVII in this video

  6. Lucas Vinicius on April 16, 2021 at 1:27 am

Scud race and daytona usa 2

  7. V on April 16, 2021 at 1:28 am

Shenmue was the best looking game on this list.

  8. Adam on April 16, 2021 at 1:28 am

Daytona USA was above and beyond anything else. Granted it was an arcade game, but still released in the 90s. That and Rayman were both absolutely untouchable visually.

    Good shout with Tekken 3.
I booted it up on a PS2, connected to a CRT via RGB cable and damn…it looks great for its time.

  10. Jay Bisky on April 16, 2021 at 1:29 am

Surprised they didn’t include super Mario 64 for its use of the 3D floating camera that’s still used in today’s 3rd person platform games

  11. NURSANDI 9779 on April 16, 2021 at 1:31 am

    Gp 500?

  12. ineedanickname74 on April 16, 2021 at 1:32 am

Hoping in part 2 you will mention Quake 1 and 2, Unreal, Civ2, DukeNukem, Diablo1/2, Doom, Starcraft

  13. MickeyVee on April 16, 2021 at 1:32 am

This list is trash. Most of these games do not hold up, simply because 3D games from the ’90’s era are too jaggy and low poly and the frame rates are low. Look at any 2d game made by Nintedo, however, and they all hold up artistically speaking. That’s a big reason why so many Indie developers are still making 2d pixel art games today.

  14. LordValzy on April 16, 2021 at 1:33 am

If the Video name is "still hold up" and then "at the time" is said in the video something is wrong here.

  15. Mo oj on April 16, 2021 at 1:34 am

    How about Virtua Racer?

  16. Akhand Tripathi on April 16, 2021 at 1:35 am

  18. Jacob Heckman on April 16, 2021 at 1:41 am

  19. Meursault2004 on April 16, 2021 at 1:42 am

    SimCity 2000 still rocks!

  20. Nicolas T on April 16, 2021 at 1:42 am

Dude, powerpoint visual novels don’t count as games. Also they are just pictures, not real time renderings. Come on, you can do better.

  21. dj koehn on April 16, 2021 at 1:42 am

    earthbound

  22. Heat Filter on April 16, 2021 at 1:45 am

Half Life 1 holds up well still IMHO

  23. Dieter Gerding on April 16, 2021 at 1:45 am

I remember 2008. I got my brand new Core2Duo 8400 @3,6 GHz, 4 GB Ram and 9800GTX+ and found me playing Half Life 1 on the first Weekend. My first question: „You got a high end gaming machine and the first game you play is 10 years old. Why?“ The second thing I noticed was: „Hey, after 10 Minutes you forget about the graphics and enjoy a very good game instead.“ What I learned on that day was, that atmosphere and gameplay is much more important than graphics. And when it comes to atmosphere, a lot of 90‘s Games aged very well.

  24. phenixz1981 on April 16, 2021 at 1:47 am

God of War was another game that was simply amazing and the gameplay still sets the standard for many games now

  25. Steve Brandon on April 16, 2021 at 1:47 am

Sega AM2/Acclaim’s (Ferrari) F355 Challenge, which counts as 1990s if we’re talking about the original arcade version, still holds up beautifully if you ignore the tree wallpaper on one track (Nurburgring F1 I think it was). It also has some music in common with Shenmue since both games were in development at the same time and had the same composer.

  26. pandnh4 on April 16, 2021 at 1:48 am

"Graphics STILL hold up"…..back then it was mind blowing

  27. Sega T-800 on April 16, 2021 at 1:48 am

Tekken 3 arcade ran on System 12, which was basically an overclocked Playstation with more RAM. Being near arcade perfect wasn’t that an impressive feat. Also 60fps for 1v1 fighting games is quite common and to be expected. I can’t think of a 30fps fighting game this current gen. And texture mapped polygons were very common in the 90s, much more so than early 90s Model 1 era shaded polygons.

Also I’m guessing arcade games were excluded because there are much better looking arcade games from the 90s that hold up better. E.g Virtua Fighter 2 and 3 look much better than Tekken 3 and so they should considering Model 2 and Model 3 hardware were far more powerful than the Playstation derived System 12. Heck one could argue VF2 on the Saturn holds up better than any Tekken game on the PS1.

  28. I ride around and stuff on April 16, 2021 at 1:49 am

I think Kirby’s Adventure for the NES should be on the list. There were better looking games on the SNES, but it’s just amazing how good it looked despite running on 1984 hardware.

  29. Timothy Hollandsworth on April 16, 2021 at 1:51 am

Virtua fighter 3 looked WAYYYYYY better than Tekken 3

  30. André R on April 16, 2021 at 1:51 am

  32. Ray Hus on April 16, 2021 at 1:54 am

Road trip adventure which is an early 2000’s racing game on the ps2 is the best racing game of all time. Change my mind, oh wait you cant.

  33. Party Quest on April 16, 2021 at 1:56 am

Unreal and Unreal tournament? maybe it’s 99 and maybe it’s 2000 idk. i have it on my channel. they really were proud show casing their engine.

  35. Sadaf Niaz on April 16, 2021 at 1:58 am

  36. Mr Noob on April 16, 2021 at 1:59 am

  37. Cody Craddock on April 16, 2021 at 2:01 am

    Why no crash bandicoot?!

  38. Audio Freak on April 16, 2021 at 2:02 am

Ok why did I never have a Dreamcast. Honestly that was like GameCube quality.

  39. Erik Browne on April 16, 2021 at 2:03 am

Myst, yes, has a legacy (and is one of my favorites) but Riven far, far, outdoes Myst in every way.

  40. Liz Hittle on April 16, 2021 at 2:05 am

    DONKEYYY KONGGGGG COUNTRYYYYYY

  41. Music fan on April 16, 2021 at 2:05 am

Wave Race 64 should be on here. The water effects are still impressive considering it came out in 1996.

  42. Strabby Crabby on April 16, 2021 at 2:07 am

so you think Soul Calibur looks worse than Tekken 3?

  43. DoomFinger511 on April 16, 2021 at 2:08 am

Ahh yes, the pixels. I remember ganondorf, I was there… 3000 years ago

  44. Mr. Blunt on April 16, 2021 at 2:10 am

  46. Eugenio Vasquez on April 16, 2021 at 2:12 am

Aladin snes was good graphix. Also sega genesis Flashback

  47. __ on April 16, 2021 at 2:12 am

I was thinking Thief would have been on the list because of its lighting system.

  48. toughluck8012 on April 16, 2021 at 2:15 am

1:59 I love that you are covering these games!!! Huge part of my childhood

  49. Steve 82 on April 16, 2021 at 2:17 am

It blows my mind that people that were born in 2000 are now 19-20 years old. It feels like I lived a lifetime before 2000. I remember when games like Mortal Kombat and Doom came out and I couldn’t believe how amazing the graphics were. Today, video game graphics are so good, that it looks like you’re playing with real people.

  50. Sega T-800 on April 16, 2021 at 2:18 am

I was expecting only 2D games
